Places to buy Gear not online stores

Hey guys so I did a lot of calling around the other day and found a local shop that carries some Airsoft Gear. They mainly carry paintball but the gentalman running the shop stated he was going to try to keep some highend gear in his shop. So support your local small business guys and check them out. Just to let you guys know I have zero affiliation with this shop, just putting out some info if your like me and like to put gear in your hands before you buy.

I Like the army surplus store in my town. They don't have a website but they have a Facebook page .

Do NOT buy from EZ Paintball. The owner is the worst kind of sleazeball trash - he once tried to sell me a used ICS Sig552 at $500, and tried to convince me that Tokyo Marui had a "professional" line that (conveniently) no one else in the States was authorized to carry, and that the guns costed over $1000 per piece. You can see where this is going, right?

Even for my regulated external gas rig parts needs, I won't touch EZ Paintball with a ten-foot cattle prod.

The surplus store, on the other hand, is awesome. All kinds of cool stuff floating around in there.

Oh yea the old guy who is always at the surplus store is one heck of a cool guy.

I had been to the army surplus store just yesterday. It's a cool place and you get everything except good airsoft guns. I recommend visiting this place for your camp outfit. Not to forget, support local business too

I think it is the guys they have hired currently that treat us nice, the owner on the other hand I am just glad he isn't around.

The MPP staff are closer to the age group of the average airsofter, which helps them be a little more receptive to the idea of the sport. If you've ever dealt with one of the "hardcore" paintballers, then you've dealt with the mindset that Eric Zorn has ("airsofters are **ssies because they don't come off the field battered and bruised from getting shot like we do. paintball is the greatest sport ever"). Doesn't help he'll do anything for a buck, it seems (see my statement about the $500 ICS he was trying to sell me while I was getting fittings for my Escort MP5).

So taking a quick look at the thread I have this to say. No matter what it is Xbox vs ps3, football vs basketball, anything that is similar will always have purists that hate the other. If you ever have a paintballer ever get in your face simply say this. No matter what you can say about ether sport one thing stands way above everything else. Where paintballers in one weekend can spend anywhere from 30 to 80 bucks on paint alone, it takes us 3 months of every weekend playing to get anywhere near that.

This also leads to why the owner of the park hates us. Instead of payig the jacked up price of paintball and making a killing off of us, we are playing airsoft. Instead of looking at making profit for us being there he sees lost profit because the sport is simply cheaper. In his mind he is losing money when he should be thankful we are there.

So bottom line should this piss us off or make us leave? No, simply because as long as you are in a place with mixed sports there is going to be hate. Sadly this is part of life and learning to deal with it makes ours much easier. It is still fun at the park and as long as the owner isn't there we pretty much have the run of the place.

Until we can truly start work on deathflats and make it into the awesome field it can and will be the park is someplace to play and I am happy with that. But should you still support this guy's business, no you should not. Anyone trying to take advantage of a person does not deserve my well earned cash, period.

So to ask a question, are there any stores locally where I might find some quality BBs or should I just order them online. I purchased all my gear on monday, so hopefully it will get here on friday or next monday. I ordered 5000 23g BBs but id like to grab some more. I hope my gun and gear get here soon, im really excited to get out and play. Its been quite a while since I played anything. Like 7 years to be exact. So if anybody has any suggestions let me know.

Order online. Airsoft Revolution apparently shut its doors for good a couple of years ago, and they were the only real game in town.

I was at a local sporting goods store a couple of weeks ago but I don't remember which one. They had quite a bit of airsoft stuff some middle of the road guns and some actual airsoft gear ive seen online. I just can't remember which one it was. The BBs they sold were pretty highly rated online but for the life of me I can't remeber the store. Oh well i guess its time for a little online research again.

Ok, I figured it out, it was Sports Authority. They had some Cybergun stuff and some King Arms BBs and a few other things. Most of there BB selections was cheap stuff and most of there guns appeared to be inexpensive, but a few items did appear to be good for novice players or those on a budget. Its not supporting local business exactly, but its there if your curious.
