Echo/CYMA M14 SOCOM Suppresser?

I recently saw a disassembly video of an AGM M14, and assumed that an Echo 1 M14 would have the threaded barrel that the AGM does. Underneath the flash hider, the are just This is incorrect. This isn't a huge issue, but I would love to be able to attach a suppresser. I haven't found or heard of any adapters. Would it be possible to just take it to a machine shop and have them cut threads into it?

If there isn't some sort of adapter that clamps onto the barrel, then you have two options:

1) Replace the barrel entirely (they should be TM-compatible)
2) Take it to a machine shop

Personally, I'd replace it with a known steel or aluminum barrel if it were my gun, but that's me. Whatever you do, just note that it'll cost money.

Echo1 M14's are Kart, not CYMA (CYMA's actually have the threads). As such, it is probably best to replace the outer barrel assembly anyways as I remember many Kart M14's had issues with accepting aftermarket tightbores because of their barrel diameter being ever so slightly too small to accept many brands.
