I am not familiar with GS, but I'd tell you to go (depending on your budget) with Echo 1, JG, A&K, TM, G&G, or G&P. TM, G&G, and G&P cost more, but are generally of higher quality overall (basically you get what you pay for). Echo 1 is great for the price point with its warranty, but if you are mechanically inclined, the JG is the same gun for less money. E1 also sometimes rebrands A&K, so there's a chance that's what you're getting also (I know A&K makes the M249s that E1 sells).
The TM, which is my favorite out of all of them, will (if the gearbox is left stock) will never break. Ever. Some scoff at the lower FPS (280-310 FPS), but the TM hop up is one of the best on the market, and overcomes this with ease, so your range at that significantly lower FPS is the same as those clones shooting 400+ FPS. My P90 was a nail driver when it was stock, and now after I bumped the FPS up a notch (it now shoots 350-370 with a 0.20g BB) and added a tightbore barrel, it's one mean little gun. (As a testament to TM guns, I'd like to point out that other than a MOSFET, Deans connectors, M110 spring, and metal spring guide, my gearbox is COMPLETELY stock. Stock gears, nylon bushings, stock cylinder, everything. I've run it this way for a little over 2 years now, and it's still going strong.)
I hope that helps some.
