Bottom line: I wouldn't. If you're wrong, then you might have a whole lot more problems than you did before, especially if it got into a gas pistol's blowback unit or inside an AEG's gearbox. Then you'd be shelling out some serious money to get parts replaced (whether you do it yourself or get a tech to do it; either way you have to buy parts).
Besides, just because it's a "mineral oil" doesn't automatically mean it's chemically inert (that's the main reason why we use silicone oil - it's not particularly known for its lubricating properties, but it is not chemically reactive with anything, and doesn't degrade rubber and other petroleum-based products, such as plastics).
