Well, what style of gun are you interested in? There are many styles to choose from, and many of those have been made into AEGs.
Assume a level playing field (same brand of gearbox, etc. in each gun) as far as internals. No one body style is going to perform better than the others. Decide what type of gun you want, then find the brand that fits your budget (just remember, you get what you pay for). If you can swing it, see if you can't pick a higher quality gun up used for a pretty decent price.
