king arms m4 maintence

i am not new to airsoft however i am sord of new to tech work. When should i take apart my my m4 for basic maintenance such as reshimming/ regreasingthe gears etc. The gun is about 4 months old and has run through around 15k rounds so far. The gun still runs and sounds great however I was curious about when i need to start doing basic maintenance. Also any words of wisdom or advice. Thanks!!!!!!!!!
