My nephew wants to get a sniper rifle and found this one on gunbroker.

Does any one know if this is a good one or not.
Which one's should he look at?

those, from what i could tell, were either the tsd or the well versions of the vsr. i guess they're ok. they will work but. like all china clones, not for ever. one of my friends has the well vsr and he says it's great. if he is looking for a better clone then i would suggest the bar-10 or the utg l96. i have the l96 and it's a good stock gun. it just has some consistency issues on small targets. it's fine against man sized targets, however.

It looks like a UTG M243. not a great choice.
No upgradability and shoots pretty lame for a real sniper rifle.

agreed... for about the same price he can get a jg bar10...most everyone else will suggest the same thing if his price range is about 100 dollars...
