I believe Paul is referring to Top Sniper on the Military Channel. Most of the spotters are using m4/m16/m14 or the standard assault rifle of their country (including aug's and a few others). Paul, the semiautomatic sniper rifles were SR-25's for the most part with a few other rifle systems. Remember the show only specifically shows a few teams. Most of the people in the back ground have bolt action rifles.

Hi Guys,
LOL, you guys were paying closer attention than me.
Thanks on the Air Force info, I knew they were using auto/semi rifles but didn't pay attention to what kind. When I was in the Air Force all we used was the M16, M60 and lowly .38 revolvers for side arms. The 9mm was just being introduced when I was getting out.
