Upgrading Question

I'm pretty new to this - got a ghillie suit, a UTG L96 (The shadow ops version from Evike.com) (I know how to scope in a rifle, I'm a deer hunter) and going to buy some .30 BB's. I want to upgrade my spring and trigger for now - any recommendations / suggestions?

What FPS are you going for? What's your budget?

If your replace your spring, I suggest replacing the piston and head as well. I have a First Factory (LayLax) Tri-Element piston and Guarder piston head in my own L96, and with my 500 FPS spring I am getting perfect (as close to 100% as you can get while still factoring in entropy) compression. Add in my PDI hop chamber (properly set, of course) and Deepfire 6.04mm 50mm barrel, and I'm hitting targets out to 300 feet accurately.

There is this new "Upgrade Kit" out for the UTG L96's, but I've never used one or had any experiance with it. It says it's for the MK96, but I would think that it works on your rifle. It comes with a spring, metal spring guide, metal piston, and torque absorbing bearing set. $50, and it should (as it claims) shoot around 540.

I used the aforementioned kit in both a UTG as well as a Well G22. Pumped the Well up to 515 w/.25 and the UTG to around 530 w/.25
