JG SVD and HIT Airsoft

Does anyone have any experience with either of these?

I'm on the market for an SVD and this is looking like a good deal. Does anyone have any particular reason I might regret ordering?

Not a real SVD. The only difference between this and a regular AK 47 is that this one has a really long barrel and an odd stock, whereas an actual SVD has an entirely different receiver and magazine as well.

The JG SVD is generally regarded as cheap in both build and quality.

If you want a good svd, save your money and either get a real sword or a G&P.

True, but in the world of airsoft SVDs the Real Sword at 700ish is still half the price of the G&P and Escort and is upgradable at any shop that has a Tech

Hit Guns are great people to work with...they even deliver on Saturday (FedEx) No worries here... The SVD is ugly from the get go, and the JG is even uglier... good thing it is out of stock at Hit Guns.

Perfect. That's exactly what I ended up ordering. It's on pre-order though since I opted in for the next-gen one so it should be in before too terribly long.

I appreciate all the input. Just one more question, does anyone know where to get the SVD mildot scope? It's got a peculiar rangefinding function that I find is more intuitive than the regular hatched cross. That, and it's just one of those nice touches that you're not likely to see elsewhere.
