Well, the most modern would be an EBR stock, but unless you want to drop a few hundred more dollars I wouldn't do it. First of all, what does it look like right now? I still consider the M14 to be modern, but I love the look, so I am partial.
To ensure perfect aim, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.

I've thought about it and I think I might just keep the normal look. It's gonna cost be like $125 to buy a SOCOM upper do I'll just camo the gun and throw and RIS on it to modernize it some. I'll play with what I have for now. I'll start a thread on it later down the road when im ready to do upgrades and what not...

Well, if I were you, I would paint it, put a really big scope on it, and put a bipod on it.
