I've heard KJW is decent, you're not going to get a good AEG for that much, but if you wanted a pistol over that, you go to AirsoftGI, they are selling WE Full metal 1911's for $90 right now.

No. That gun has horrible aftermarket support, and since it's a KJW, it'll be a perpetual project gun. If you're dead set on a gas sniper rifle, then I'd go with the KJW M700 - compatible with upgrades for the Tanaka M700 series of guns. I've upgraded the holy hell out of mine, and it shoots like a dream after I converted it to external CO2 and did some other upgrades (new hop up bucking, inner barrel, added a silencer, striker spring, custom milled magazine parts, etc.). There should be some photos of it in the arsenal thread if you feel like searching for it.

that gun is dead nuts reliable and shoots damn hard. but that barrel is crap. the sniper barrel is (quite a bit) longer and afaik is a 6.04mm. carbine is probably 6.08-6.10. as a cheap, lightweight semi auto, 'brute force' sniper, it works quite well, so long as you have enough (functional, non-leaking) mags. the sniper version fits great it a shotgun scabbard.

it won't work at all in colder temps, though. and it does feel cheap (dur). and the trigger pull is crap, but that's due to the simplicity of the firing mechanism. i've got two kjw guns and they have both thus far proven to be unbreakable. i've had my m9 a solid year and never cleaned or disassembled it. fires every time. about to throw a tightbore in it. i'm currently scoffing at those that say a marui-style barrel won't fit, as i bet it will with some very slight modifications.
