G&G G96 Mag

anyone know if the Well G96 Mags are compatible with the G&G? I know that the Well is a clone of the Ares, and the G&G is supposedly a clone of the Tanaka, but the mags look almost identical from just the pics I've seen, If anyone could confirm this it would be greatly appreciated!

I think the slot where the mag well hooks onto the mag is in different positions on them... I'm not 100% sure though.

Nope. The G&G G96 uses proprietary mags based off the Tanaka M700/AICS system (the mags are the only part that aren't fully Tanaka-compatible).
The WELL G96 is a clone of the ARES AW338.
It's not even worth buying a mag to test (if you're wrong, you're out the cost of the mag). I wouldn't bother testing unless I either knew someone with the gun I don't have or owned both guns. If there's one thing I've learned from GBBRs and gas snipers, it's that you shouldn't skimp on the mags. Get the right part for the job - "buy once, cry once."
