SURPAT

i have been looking at this camo which seems almost like a russian version ACUPAT however it seem to work, here a website with some pictures of it and a side by side comparison with multi-cam (http://tacr.wordpress.com/category/clot ... an-surpat/). i was wondering if anyone has seen it in real life or if anyone has any opinion on it.

I saw this stuff awhile back, seems alright. My biggest complaint with it is, like many digital patterns, the pixels need to be bigger and further apart, because at a distance all the colors blend together into one big blob (see also Russian "CIFRA" pattern). I'll admit it does look neat, though.

No, the problem is they don't break up the human figure good enough. Because ultimately you still have a human-shaped blob of color.

i am not going to et into the argument does digi camo work.
my point is in digi camo you tend to have three types of patterning
ones that focus on miro patterning;
ones that focus on marco patterning ;
ones that try to balance the two;
on top of that you also have different micro patterning and macro pattering that is used; as well as if the colors are suppose to complement, mix, or blend with the surroundings;
so comparing one digi camo to another and saying since one does not work well all don't work, is like saying all non digi camo works is the same way and since one of them is bad all are of them are bad;
