I was wondering if 417 mags would fit in this

That pouch should fit most generic 7.62 caliber mags, including yours. The HK417 mags look a little wider though so it might be a tight fit. You might have to stretch out the pouches some.

I use condor 7.62 pouches for my m14 mags, the fit was a little tight when I first got them. I let the mags sit in the pouches and now they fit just fine, even have a little wiggle room. That may be what you'll have to do.

417 mags are almost double the size on m14 mags

Blue force gear makes a lot of cool stuff including pouches specifically developed for the 417. I have the mp7 rig, some m4 pouches, pistol pouches, smoke pouches, and the trauma kit. It is all well made in Georgia. I would recommend them. It is very innovative and they have a good warranty. They go completely flat when not in use and are the lightest pouches out there. The attachment system is also very nice and fully molle compatible. Airsoft websites are starting to carry them but you can buy directly from the company and it will get to you very quickly. Shipping is free for orders over 100 and "durable10" gets you 10% off. They don't charge extra for multicam which is nice and the prices are very competitive.

Hmm
Hsgi taco mag pouches or blue force mag pouches?
I'm leaning more for the Taco's because I can use them with my vfc 416 aswell
