Rosters updated in the first post as of today....
US is presently at 41 and closed to any more...
NVA/VC is presently at 36 and can take 5 more before closing...
If you have already signed up and are part of a group, please take a moment to look over the rosters in the first post to be sure a buddy had not already put you down as part of another group. Don't want to be counting anyone twice and take up spots someone else might want. Thanks.
Also, when you arrive at the field on Saturday morning, please go to the Pop Up Canopy marked "Check In/Registration" and sign in under your side with your real name, screen name/nickname here on BK, turn in your Medical and Field waivers or fill them out there and turn them in. From there, you will need to chrono any guns you may be using that day and get them tagged. You will not be allowed on the field to play if you have not signed in, turned in both signed waivers, and chrono'd the gun(s) you are carrying. Chrono will be behind the main BK shed as usual.
It's going to be VERY VERY HOT next weekend....everyone needs to start hydrating midweek (if not before) and increase how much they drink (water, not soft drinks, etc....) leading up to next Saturday. Drinking more the day of the event is too late, by then you are already dehydrated.
While this is an "entry level" event as far as VN airsoft goes, it is also a "big boy" event in that you should come with everything you need for the day, including all the food, water, Gatorade, BB's, batteries, etc... you will need from start to finish. We will not be supplying any of those things. There may be someone there to cook at the lunch break, but it will be a decision made late in the week as to whether they will have the time to come or not. Do not count on it though. Bring one trash bag per person with you (everyone has trash bags at home....just make it part of the gear you pack) and take out their OWN TRASH when you leave. If you absolutely do not have room for it when you leave, please bring it up to the staging area to those of us running the game and we will make sure it gets out. We should not have to go around and pick up trash or empty every trash can for 2 hours after the game, pick up after yourselves and keep the field in good shape. We will adjust the schedule as needed for breaks, and everyone should really watch their buddies during the day, as well as themselves. If you get too hot, or even start to feel a little bit that way, go off the field, drink, take a break in the shade, etc...it's not worth having a heat stroke or heat exhaustion. Leaders of groups (we will divide into squads and have squad leaders and one main leader on each side should rotate people out of the field if necessary to take breaks while the games are going on. Take care of each other and it will be a fun day, do not and it could be YOUR nightmare.
We will have and use chronos on site...everyone will be chronographed and tagged before you will be allowed on the field that morning. NO MESH GOGGLES at THIS PLAYDATE, PERIOD. If that's all you have, ask someone for a loaner pair. MESH are NOT SAFE in our opinion and we will not allow people to take that kind of chance at our event. Thanks for your understanding in advance, and we look forward to seeing everyone on the 31st.
Also, remember you MUST sign both a field waiver and a medical waiver for THIS event. We will have copies on site the morning of the event for you to fill out there, or you can email me and I will send you copies you can sign and bring with you. This is NOT the standard BK waivers you may already have on file with them, they are specific to THIS event and you must fill these out to be able to play.
IF YOU ARE UNDER 18....then you must have your parents or guardian sign as well. If they are not going to be on site with you, then you need to PM or email me to get them so your parents can read and sign them and you can bring them with you. Be sure to put your email address in your PM so I know where to send them to. Thanks!
