Secret City Airsoft 12 Hour Game Nov. 6, 2010

This is the one we have been talking about for months. Operation Isotope will take place at the Secret City field on Nov. 6, 2010. It will consisit of 4 to 5 scenarioes that all tie into Operation Isotope. The first scenario will include a daylight raid on an old farm site back in Haw Ridg Park. The old farm site has a Silo and many concrete foundation walls (kind of like the ones in Bunker Hill) and several concrete bunker-style pits. It will include a 3 mile round trip foot march. So if this is not your cup of tea, then you probably shouldn't come to this match. Each team will need to bring enough mags, ammo, water, comm gear, etc. to be self sufficient in the woods for about 3 hours. There will also be 2 SEAL teams that will insert on the objective via rafts, so that means bring some extra socks and boots to change into after the first scenario. This also means that the SEAL teams must be fit enough to paddle the raft 2 miles roundtrip. Again, if this sounds too hard for you, sit this one out, no whining allowed at Operation Isotope. Each team will be given 1 hour to plan for their strategies on this mission, including detailed maps of the area, ariel photos, and Intel photos of the bunkers, silo, LZ's and etc.

Chadricks BBque will again be on site for dinner and snacks after the first scenario. Meals usually run $6-$9.

Registration will start at 10:30 and end promptly at Noon. If you are not signed in by Noon, you will not play the first scenario, please do not be late.

Bring your own lunch

Operation Isotope will start at 1:00 Pm

After dinner, we will play 3-4 more matches on the usual field in the DARK! We will provide glow sticks for each team. Anything goes for the night match. If you have night vision or headlamps, I would advise bringing them.

After the night match, players are welcome to stay and enjoy a bonfire and tell war stories into the wee hours of the morning. There will also be free camping available if you would like to camp on site.


I know there will be many questions, so be sure that you clear on the rules and times before you show up.

Here is the story line and mission briefing fro Operation Isotope on Nov 6. It dont think this is going to copy and paste into the correct format, but you will at least get the jist of it. Here Goes!

Operation Isotope

Oak Ridge has long been known as the “Secret City” due to its secretive operations during World War II known as the Manhattan Project. During the Manhattan Project, the concept of nuclear warfare was introduced to the world in a bomb blast heard round the world.

The Manhattan Project consisted of many secondary projects necessary to develop the world’s first nuclear bomb. Many of these consisted of research centered around the effects of radiation on people, plants, and animals. One such project was conducted here at the base of the Northern slope of Haw Ridge. On this site a “test” farm was constructed at which nuclear material was introduced to the livestock and crops. This test was conducted and then analyzed producing horrifying results that far exceeded scientist predictions. Without realizing the long-term effects and half life decay of radioactive material, much of the plutonium was left unclaimed and remains to this day.

While many of the US military resources are tied up in the Middle East, it has left our homeland security forces stretched relatively thin. A terrorist mastermind know as Fluffy has exploited this lack of security and has been secretly mining the residual plutonium at the old Haw Ridge test farm. There is believed to be enough nuclear material to construct a small nuclear “dirty bomb” capable of setting in motion a chain reaction explosion large enough to trigger larger stores of nuclear weapons located in and around the “Secret City”.

Intel has just discovered the operation on the Haw Ridge site, and has learned of an imminent missile launch at a hidden silo site 1.5 miles South of the mining camp. It is now up to a small group of Spec Ops to thwart the launch and shut down the mining camp. This is Operation Isotope .






Secret City Airsoft
November 6, 2010 Match

Mission 1: Silo Missile Launch (Day Mission)
A small terrorist cell (White Team) has assembled and plans to launch a “dirty” bomb /missile at a hidden silo area 1.5 miles South of the Mining Camp. Once the missile is activated it will launch in 90 minutes if not disarmed by the US Spec Ops team.

Start Point Respawn Point

White Team: Silo Area Post 12

Green Team: Multiple Insertion Points Multiple Points East of Post 11
SEAL Raft
Objectives:
· Protect (White team) / Disarm (Green Team) Missile Inside the Launch Silo
· SEAL teams may not be engaged while on the water
· Medic may heal players by staying in physical contact with the wounded player for 60 seconds.

Mission 2: Raid on Terrorist Nuclear Mining Facility. (Night Mission)
Since the attempted launch of the dirty missile, intel has been received on the source of the nuclear material used in it’s construction. US Spec Ops (Green Team) have been deployed via Chinook helicopter to infiltrate the terrorist mining camp (White Team) under the cover of darkness.

Start Point Respawn Point

White Team: Echo & Foxtrot Echo & Foxtrot

Green Team: Chinook Insertion Delta

Objectives:
· 6 night shift guards (White Team) will be on duty within the mining camp at the beginning of the mission. (One per building, guard must be within arms reach of the building)
· Guards may alert the rest of the White Team (Stationed at Echo and Foxtrot) of the invasion once the Chinook enters the mining camp perimeter
· The Spec Ops (Green Team) will insert into the mining camp via 3-4 waves of Chinook landings
· The Chinook will be considered invincible and may not be shot down.
· The team occupying the most buildings (within arms reach of the building) at the end of one hour wins and will have control of the mining camp for the next mission.
Mission 3: Seizure of Mining Camp Assets (Night Mission)
With mining operations shutdown, the terrorist cell (White Team) is now attempting to salvage any assets from the camp before being overrun. US Spec Ops have been instructed to seize and destroy any remaining usable assets within the camp.

Start Point Respawn Point
Winner of Mission Two will start within the City and Respawn at Delta

Loser of Mission Two will start at Echo or Foxtrot and Respawn at Echo or Foxtrot
Objectives:
· Each team will be given a map of all of the assets located within the mining camp.
· All of the assets are portable and will be marked with a glow stick
· The team that successfully delivers the most assets to their respawn area wins.
· If a player is hit while carrying an asset, they must drop it at the spot where they were hit and return to the respawn area.
· Once an asset has reaches it’s final destination at the respawn area, it is considered out of play and cannot be seized by the other team. (This will reduced the chance of respawn camping)

Mission 4: Final Showdown (Night Mission)
During the seizure of mining camp assets, the Spec Ops Commander (Captain AHole) has been captured and is now being held hostage by the terrorist leader known as (Fluffy). Intel suggests that Captain AHole is being held at gunpoint by (Fluffy) in a van located within the mining camp. The van is believed to be rigged with mustard gas and must be approached with caution.

Start Point Respawn Point

White Team: Foxtrot Foxtrot

Green Team: Delta Delta

Objectives:
· US Spec Ops must eliminate Fluffy covertly without alerting him to their presence to eliminate the risk of assassination to Captain AHole.
· The terrorist (White Team) must keep Spec Ops at bay and prevent them from advancing close enough for a takedown on the van and must employ counter sniper measures.
· Any poisonous gas releases from the van will kill anyone within 20 feet that is not wearing a gas mask
· Win Conditions: Terrorist Cell - Keep Captain AHole hostage for one hour
US Spec Ops - Eliminate Fluffy

Sounds Amazing! I def. Plan on coming with 2 of my friends. Anyone know where I can get a waiver? Since Im carpooling and my friends wont be able to sign it there

Question about the "mustard gas", but it's not really important though. You said that if gas leaks from the van, anyone within 20ft. is dead if they are not wearing a gas mask. Will there be certain people equipped with gas masks, or will we have to bring our own? If the latter, what qualifies as a gas mask, or does it specifically have to be a gas mask? Something that just struck my curiosity.

There will be 4 gas masks available for the team members that you choose to get up close and personal at the van. If you have your own you are welcome to bring them.
