I had mentioned this as an idea on here before, but today it became official.

We will be operating on approximately 20 acres owned by the church.

I'm planing on running at least 6 different mini-scenario game types that day, and I'm possibly going to check into a vendor for selling bb's and such on site.

A few updates:
First:Online pre-registration is open for this event. Online registration is not absolutely required, but will save everyone some time on game day. (Less time with paperwork= More time shooting)

This form will also allow you to indicate a team preference, the earlier people register and mark a team preference the more likely the will be to remain on that team. (It does not guarantee you to play on that team however)

Second: Rules should be in their final form, we had to do a little bit of last minute tinkering. It has been confirmed that will have a chrono there, so guns will be tested before they go on the field.

Third Working on some sponsors (not necessarily airsoft) for the event as well as someone to provide lunch. If we can provide them, there will be a charge for lunch and drinks, but the proceeds will go to having future (bigger and better) events and/or various things that the church who is hosting us supports (mission trips, disaster relief, etc.)

Last I've been working on the game scenarios will be using that day, so far I have a list of seven scenarios and would like to get feed back on them, especially a couple that are a little more unique.
1.Capture the flag:
An oldie but a goodie, each team begins with a flag of their color in their base . The goal is to defend your own flag while seizing the opponents flag and returning it to your own base. The first team to capture the opponents flag and return to their home base wins the game.

2.Bag Grab
A brief case is placed in a neutral position between the starting positions of the two teams. The objective of the game is to be in possession of the briefcase at the end of the time limit.

3.VIP Escort
Similar to the dodge ball game “protect the president”, team one is tasked with moving an important (and unarmed) person from “point a” to “point b”. Team two’s objective is to eliminate the VIP. The VIP will be wearing a vest with 4 balloons attached. If all four balloons are popped before the VIP reaches “point b”, team two wins. If the VIP reaches “point B” with at least balloon intact team one wins the game.

4.Resurrection Army
Black team and Green team engage in an all out war, the only objective to inflict causalities on the opposing team, sounds simple right? Wrong. Every member of the green and black teams who is eliminated will go to a common re-spawn and wait 5 minutes before reentering combat. When they reenter they will be marked as members of a new third team, the Resurrection Army, who have unlimited touch and go re-spawns and will fight both the green and black teams without discrimination. Combat will continue until the end of a 35 minute time limit. All surviving members of the green and black team will be considered stealthy ninjas of awesomeness who were not killed even once during combat.

5.Small Soldiers
Remember those plastic army men? In this game each person will be issued their own army man every time they enter field (beginning of the game and at re-spawns). Whenever someone dies they drop a single army man that may be recovered by a member of either team. No matter who dies and who kills them it is in the best interest of either team to collect the plastic army man that is dropped. The ultimate objective is capture as many dropped army men as possible and return them to buckets the home base/re-spawn. The team that has the most army men at the end of the time limit will be deemed the winners; alternatively if a team runs out of army before the end of the time limit they will automatically lose. Think of the army man as a pass key to reenter the field.

Note: When a player dies they will drop only one army man, not necessarily every army man in their possession. For example, if Johnny captures 5 army men and therefore has a total of 6 in his possession, he will only drop one when he dies and will return the 5 captured men to his base.

6.Check Points
This is a little bit like the game of Risk. A certain number of “check points” will be set up on the field. At the beginning of the game they will all be considered neutral. Each team will start out from their home bases with enough flags to capture all the checkpoints plus the opponents home base. When a teams players are eliminated they may touch and go re-spawn at any base or check point in their possession. The victors will be determined by the number of checkpoints and bases under their control at the end of a time limit; alternatively if a team loses all their opportunities to re-spawn and is subsequently hunted to extinction that team will lose.

7. Hostage Rescue
Similar to VIP escort, except one team will defend three hostages while the other will attempt to rescue them. Like the VIP, the hostages will wear a vest with four balloons. The attacking team will be tasked with rescuing these hostages. The attackers win when they bring the hostages to a predetermined extraction zone. The defenders win by either eliminating hostages during the rescue attempt or retaining at least two out of three hostages at the end of a time limit.

The complications:
Hostages may only move when a rescuers (or defenders) hand is on their shoulder. So if all rescuers of a hostage are killed but the hostage survives, the hostage must cooperate when the defending team returns them to “prison”.

The defenders may only re-spawn by medic, of which they will have two of on their team. The medic may only die twice, before he is eliminated permanently. When the medic dies the first time he must lay down on the ground and count to 200 before treating anymore team mates. If the defenders lose both medics, then they lose any ability to re-spawn.

The attackers have unlimited touch and go re-spawns at a part of the field that is remote (at least 5 minutes at walking pace) from the location of the hostages.

We hope to have a good turnout for this event, this should lead to regular games in the Cookeville area, and in future we will be using these events to raise fund for the Wounded Warrior Project and other charities that serve the military community.

Just an update/bump

We're a week out and this event is still a go. We currently have 16 players signed up and already assigned to teams and we'll push to get a few more people there.

I could not secure arrangements for lunch so anyone who comes will handle that on their own, they can bring their food and eat in the parking lot, or there are at least a dozen or so restaurants in a 5 minute radius.

Also I should mention that although we will be at the church, we are not allowed to go in the church, so bathrooms are in the bushes or at one of the nearby gas stations.

Should you just decide to show up that morning without registering just bring both team colors to wear (black and green/camo/tan) and we'll get you in somewhere.

And finally we have a designated parking area we're to use. I should have a sign posted, but if I don't it's the gravel lots next to a cul-de-sac, look for my Station Wagon, where I will have some plugs available for charging and should also have a sound system playing some music. I will probably arrive between 6 and 6:30 to start setting up, if you're dying to be out that early to look around you're more than welcome to come and I'll put you to work. Otherwise 7:30 would be a good to time to start showing up so you can have a look around (we'll start playing around nine).

If you have any questions, the best way to get them answered would be through p.m.
