An interesting article from ID Magazine, dated September/October 2003 about a little known 3 year old industrial design firm, Crye Associates and their work on the Scorpion/Future Force Warrior program. The innovations of a, then upstart, firm of 14 employees spawned the "Soldier Systems" of today, including the ACU-cut uniform, quick releasable plate carriers, combat shirts, Crye Precision (their manufacturing subsidiary), and MultiCam.
