Here's a simple medic rule for those who want a little more than the usual:
Each medic carries a deck of playing cards and EVERY player (of course) has a red hit rag. For each spot on a card (regardless of card suit), the medic must take the hit player's hit rag and fold it into a square, then unfold it and refold it until the number of folds is equal to the number on the card. Furthermore, after each 'treatment', the medic must shuffle the deck again.
The Ace of spades is an automatic death card, all other aces are ones.
Jack is 11, Queen is 12, King is 13. (obviously the higher the card, the more serious the wound). The medic's folding of the rag is meant to simulate his working on his patient.
Quick edit: NO rushing. Fold the red rag properly and take it apart properly. No half-assing. Also, to clarify, fold it into a small square, take it apart and re-fold it until the number of times you folded it is equal to the number on the card. A medic may also move his patient to a safer spot at any time without having to start over.
