G36 Magazine in an M4 Pouch?

Hey, guys. So I've got a question.

I know a G36 magazine is a little too thick to fit in a single M4 pouch, mostly because of the lugs on the side. But might any of you know if a G36 magazine would fit in a single M4 Pouch if you cut/shaved off the lugs, and possibly the lip about 3/4 of the way up the magazine? (Because, honestly, the lip doesn't do anything in airsoft) I've compared the dimensions of a G36 and M4 Magazine, and the former is only about 4 millimeters thicker than the latter without the lugs or lip. As far as I can tell, it would fit, but I just wanted to see if anyone could confirm this for me. Thanks!

Fit? Yes. Are there vastly better options out there? Yes.

The purpose of the lugs and corresponding lips (on the off chance that you don't already know) is to snap multiple mags together. Think M4 mags + readimag.

If you already have the M4 pouch, you should be able to make it work. If you don't mind spending a little cash, get the right pouch.
