Finally got my P226 into a metal slide and frame. Gave Guarder another chance on the frame, and was pleasantly surprised on how it turned out (much more solid now, though I can't say I was really disappointed on how it felt before). 'twas still a pain in the ass, but not nearly as bad this time around (that damned trigger bar spring had my number). It's finally as close as I'm willing to get to my real one (I don't have the budget nor the patience to find a Creation steel kit or have a steel slide manufactured for me).
Base: TM P226R
Upgrades:
Guarder metal slide (I got this in a combo slide/frame kit, but the frame was molded wrong and I chucked it because it was easier than trying to fix it)
Guarder Navy frame (only frame-only kit I could find; that it has no rails is icing on the cake in my opinion)
Shooters Design POM loading nozzle
ACTION 160% recoil spring
Nineball DYNA piston head
Nineball inner barrel
Nineball bucking
GunsModify tritium night sights (I was expecting DYTAC quality, but boy, was I pleasantly surprised! Better be, for 4x the price...Furthermore, I can't believe I actually got my hands on a set of these.)
To come:
steel hammer (probably polished)
heavier hammer spring
metal outer barrel (prolly either Guarder or Nineball)
By the way, Fluffy, that is one fine looking pistol.
