Dead End: GAME ON 4/10

Postby Borscope » Mon Apr 04, 2011 12:25 pm

Storm's a comin'. That plus the damage from exuberant combat yesterday has some of us wanting to do a build & light game day. If someone has a vehicle to haul lumber we can meet up at the Maryville Home Depot and load up.

I would be willing to give a couple hours before game time (if there was game time) to build

so borscope what we talked about is that what we are planning on doing? im assuming this will be an all day build day?

im there, i'll find out if the other guys are down they should be. we had one guy that was going to be brand new playing on the 10th asked off specifically to come out and play so i'll need to let him know one way or the other.

let us know, i'll def be there.

How about we do planning before & in-between games so those folks coming down to play get some (I wanna shoot too lol). I'd particularly like to get pro builder input mashed together with field limitations & needs as well as what will make the field awesome. Serious project planning not cotton candy dreaming.

I'm a structural engineer and not too bad with wood construction. If you guys need a little help gimme a holler. I might be able to make it down there.

so im guessing still come ready to play? I mentioned some bridge ideas in the Steadfast Review thread... I'll put pictures of what I was talking about today when I go by my dads.... I think they would really work... no construction and very light-weight.

GAME ON! Sunday 4/10 is regular gaming, with planning sessions for future work, and hopefully testing RandyCapps assault bridges.

at school now, I'll show you all a picture when I can get to my camera. my dad said he will find out if more of those are around, but practically it's about a 15foot aluminum ladder with flat faces covering the rungs to make it walkable.... weight wise one person could do it... but the shape and length make it a 2-3 man move. If my dad can get a hold of them I don't even think we'll have to pay for them.

Thatd be great, they're pretty pricey new. Do they have anti-skid already? If not I'd like to add some
