I've been thinking of doing this as well. I was thinking krylon ultra-flat camo for the base colors and act as a primer on the plastic parts then various paints for detail, then multiple coats of matte/flat clear coat to protect the artwork. I'd still expect it to get f'ed up in use though. So you know my perspective, until I started airsoft last year I had been a hardcore model/miniatures builder/painter for over 20 years so someone from say auto painting background may have a better idea.
