Update On Smokey Mountain Paintball

In case anybody is interested or curios about this place. I spoke to Jon the owner and operator at Smokey mountain paintball, long story short he wants airsoft at the field.
-Two Saturday's a month,
-bio degradable bbs,
-$10 field fee is what he is asking for.
- Fields consist of heavy wooded areas, and hills.The wooded areas are not baked in paint. So no real concern of bunker rub on your gear, bunkers that he has set up do have paint ie speed ball and his bunker hill.
As is it stands he is allocating 3 hours of play, and willing to give us more time if we can get enough people to play there. We manage ourselves meaning no refs, which for most of us we are used to playing that way. If the interest is really strong he will shift his walk on paintballers to afternoon.
The only two issue I can foresee are parking and the bbs. So what do you guys think, can we make it happen or what?

bio bbs are bad news, esp of you use alot of mesh protective gear

OK...3 hrs of airsoft for $10. I can go to any other field and get 8+ hrs for $5-10. If he can only give us 3 hrs for now, how about cutting us a break on the price until we can get more hours?

Not trying to be the cynical one or the stick in the mud -- but the guy who owns SMP has been "talking" about having airsoft at his field for several years now. Just look at the old threads in the Knoxville section. It pops up every now and then, everyone talks about it....then it dies. The Bio BB's / field BB's are definitly a block also.

If this field can be viable -- fabulous. We can always use another good field. But I'd like to see the owner put some effort and some promotion into this. Fish or cut bait.
