What is This?
Are you finally ready to take mil-sim seriously? Tired of the same ole' weekend games that always involve the same scenario's, on the same piece of land, with the same outset? If so, then a D.B. Mil-sim game might be up your ally. This will not be a easy operation for anyone. You will be tested and pushed to your limits both physical and mentally. Our goal is to put you in the shoes of a infantry soldier and let you experience for yourself a small portion of what they do and the real confusion they experience in battle. You will get tired, it will be cold, there will be no "lunch breaks" for you to relax and chill.
We are going to be clear up front. If you think this Operation is going to be based on shooting people and winning, you are going to be disappointed. Communication, Teamwork, Leadership, Hard work, and Persistence are the deciding factors on who the winner will be.
Think you have it in you?
What to Expect:
Players will be expected to stay in the field for the entire operation. There will be no breaks once the game goes live. Points will be deducted for players leaving the field early (except under medical circumstances).
All units will be required to camp out on Friday night. That’s right you have to be a real soldier for a bit and deal with the surroundings not a Best Western. This will be in the winter months so be prepared for cold. Dress warm; carry your needed items…
All forces will be able to arrive at any time on Friday after 1200hrs. Estonian forces will be allowed immediately onto the field of battle to prepare positions and learn the lay of the land. US forces will not be allowed to pre-walk the event site, you are being dropped in, you have never been there though intelligence and maps will be provided for your study.
US forces will camp and sleep near the parking lot in their designated staging area. Estonian forces will camp and sleep in the field. After 8pm all participants should be on site though special arrangement can be made beforehand for those with longer travel or work obligations. Saturday arrivals will not be tolerated and turned away. Those that leave the field will not be allowed back into the game.
Objectives and Mission:
Wouldn’t you like to know? Select details will be released on the forums prior to the event. The missions are already made but we want this event to be more about act of being the soldier and fighting a war than grabbing points. A majority of mission objectives will be passed down through chain of command Friday afternoon. This is a good incentive for teams to keep communications up and the chain of command functional.
Uniform and Gear Requirements:
Being that this is a mil-sim type event there will be uniform requirements toward both sides. See our website for more detailed description to the uniform requirement.
Our website is up but please bear with the minor changes we will be doing. Stop by our forums and give us a shout!
