Timeline for AOW2 through 22 August:

PRE-1989: CORDOVA is an Autonomous Province of the CULLMANIAN EMPIRE.
1989: CORDOVA declares its independence after the collapse of the CULLMANIAN EMPIRE. The Teutonic ethnic majority monopolized power.

CORDOVA is a politically weak but potentially oil rich country, especially the HANCEVILLE Province.

BLOUNTONIA and ARIANA have used ethnic tensions within CORDOVA to further territorial and economic claims on the HANCEVILLE Province.

BLOUNTONIA supports the unrecognized breakaway province of COLONY in Southwest CORDOVA

ARIANA has continued to support Phelan separatist movements in the HANCEVILLE Province.

BLOUNTONIA is allied with ARIANA against CORDOVA in efforts to keep prevent a unified CORDOVA and keep out foreign countries with oil interests

20 May, 2009: ARIANA begins mobilizing reserves and moving conventional forces to the CORDOVAN border

19 August, 2009: CORDOVAN Govt requests assistance; President of the Unified Coronan SStates establishes CJTF-Cordovan Sovereignty (mission: Maintain the territorial integrity of CORDOVA UCS begins troop deployment to AO.

15 September, 2009: CJTF-CS forces begin landing at ESCAMBIAN Sea ports; begin movement to CORDOVA

1 October, 2009: ARIANA conventional forces attack across the CORDOVAN border with the objective of securing the return of the disputed Hanceville Province

14 October, 2009: CJTF-CS forces begin arriving in Southern CORDOVA

16 October, 2009. ARIANAN forces defeated CORDOVAN forces and secured the Hanceville Province

HANCEVILLE Province and requested UN to convene a peace conference

3 – 6 November, 2009: CJTF-CS units continue to close in on the HANCEVILLE Province.7
8 November 2009: After heavy fighting and severe casualties Corona, Cordova and Ariana agree to a cease fire. Phelan Liberation Group refuses to recognize the cease fire.

23 November 2009: Phelan Liberation Group ambushes a Cordovan National Guard convoy killing 17 Guardsmen and BG Cleghorn, the Cordovan National Guard Chief of Intelligence.

25 November 2009: POTUCS directs Coronan forces to assist Cordovan National Guard in conducting stability and humanitarian operations.

4 December 2009: Coronan Forces engage Phelan Liberation Group, Corona suffers 2 dead but kills 43 Phelan and captures another 26. Among the dead is an Arianan Military Advisor.

9 December 2009: Phelan Liberation Group agrees to the cease fire and Ariana withdraws all Military Advisors from Cordova.

11 December 2009: POTUCS proposes a political solution to permanently end hostilities. Ariana, in exchange for guaranteed access to oil reserves in the region, would renounce its claim to the Hanceville Province. Cordova would allow Ariana to resume construction on the Tancuri Pipeline, originally started by the Cullmanian Empire in 1989 but abandoned upon its collapse. Additionally Cordova would allow Ariana Forces to patrol a 2 mile wide corridor the length of the pipeline. The pipeline runs from the Hanceville Province through the Tancuri Mountain range and terminates in Sivlitastan.

14 December 2009: Corana facilitates The Treaty of Secara is signing by Ariana and Cordova.

1 January 2010: Ariana construction battalions enter Cordova to begin construction on the Pipeline. Cordovan National Guard Major General Metzger dispatches forces to enforce the 2 mile corridor. Phelan Liberation Group threatens to attack Cordovan logistic trains if Cordovan forces interfere with the construction.

6 January 2010: Cordovan Forces detain a 7 man Arianan Survey Team for violation of the pipeline corridor. 2 members of the Ariana Team were 15 feet outside of the corridor. Arianan Diplomats call the incident petty and negotiate the team’s release. Major General Metzger calls the violation an act of aggression. Cordovan President Hutto publically admonishes General Metzger and threatens to purge the Cordovan National Guard Officer Corps of all officers loyal to Metzger unless General Metzger ceases resistance to the Secara Treaty.

11 January 2010: Phelan Liberation Group attacks a Cordovan National Guard Ammo Supply Point. Ammo Supply Point is completely destroyed and pursuing Cordovan National Guard force walks into a Battalion level ambush suffering 206 casualties.

12 January 2010: Ariana asks Ragnar Rock to persuade Phelan forces to stop hostilities in exchange for a safe haven in Ariana.

3 February 2010: The majority of Phelan forces agrees to safe haven offer and withdraws to Ariana. General Metzger labels Ariana a state sponsor of Terrorism.

Video of chemical experiment at the camp are discovered along with dual use laboratory equipment capable of producing small quantities of lethal toxins. Captured Laboratory Technician commits suicide by biting off his tongue and bleeding out.

10 March 2010: Arianan intercepts Cordovan forces enforcing Phelan safe haven promises. General Metzger declares Cordovan right to preemptive action. Cordovan President Hutto orders all National Guard officers associated with General Metzger arrested.

17 March 2010: Cordovan National Guard 1st Special Operations Battalion storms Presidential Palace capturing President Hutto and his cabinet. General Metzger declares martial law. POTUCS orders all Coronan forces in Cordova back to their Forward Operating Bases and begins negotiations with General Metzger.
20 March 2010: POTUCS orders Coronan forces to patrol the pipeline corridor.

15 April 2010: Corona formally recognizes General Metzger and his Junta as the de facto Cordovan government.
22 May 2010: Cordovan forces patrolling the pipeline corridor stumble upon a Phelan weapons cache. Among the weapons and ammunition a canister is found. Investigation of canister determines the contents to be a chemical weapon precursor.

4 June 2010: General Metzger demands Ariana conduct inspections of the Phelan safe haven to determine if the Phelans possess a chemical weapon capability. Ariana refuses the request.

10 July 2010: Phelan forces begin conducting paramilitary training within their safe haven. Ariana provides military advisors and second hand military supplies to support the training.
11 July 2010: General Metzger denounces Ariana support for the Phelans threatening to close the pipeline. POTUCS intervenes and provides assurance Coronan forces will support Cordova if or when action is required.

3 August 2010: A 6 man Phelan force destroys the radio tower in Cordova that transmits Radio Free Ariana. Cordovan forces pursue but the force crosses into Ariana and Arianan forces stop the pursuit. General Metzger calls the intervention an act of war by a terrorist nation.

9 August 2010: Cordovan Intelligence identifies the 6 members of the strike team. General Metzger demands Ariana apprehend and extradite the team to Cordova for trial. Ariana attempts to apprehend the team but is unsuccessful. General Metzger declares Ariana to be harboring terrorists and restates Cordova’s right to preemptive action.

22 August 2010: Cordovan Special Operations Forces enter Ariana.

This a prop status update, actually might get caught up and have everything done on time.

18 foot Bailey bridge: Play tested at Border Wars, minor issues identified and corrected. There will be a scenario requiring the Bailey Bridge to be deployed.

300 Landmines: 238 of the orignally planned 300 complete with an additional 80 awaiting assembly. There will be pre-deployed mine field. The Combat Engineer/Sapper elements of each army will have at least 50 landmines available to deploy.

Multiple replica Improvised Explosive Devices including suicide vests: 2 suicide vests with explosive simulator complete. 10 IED simulators complete.

Multiple reactive Demolition Charges: The first satchel charge with explosive simulator is complete. With the issue of a functional triggerng mechanism solved 5 more will be assembled. The Combat Engineer/Sapper elements of each army will have 3 satchel charges each. Once used they can be rearmed after being returned through supply channels.

2 Pneumatic cannons for artillery: One complete for use by Special Weapons teams.

Mine Detection Equipment: One Mine Detector operational and available for Combat Engineer/Sapper elements. Both Armies will have mine clearing missions just not at the same time.

4 Vehicles for convoy operations: 4 ATVs secured to simulate vehicles for convoy missions.

2 Mortar simulators: For use by Special weapons teams.

24 remote triggers: Allow for simulated artillery fire

47 Thunderflash MKV flashbangs: Additional artillery simulators

PROJECTS LEFT TO COMPLETE:

1 Laser Designation device: On hand still trouble shooting

Multiple reactive targets: 20 planned, Design complete have to procure materials and assemble.

25 Smoke Grenades: Same as used for Border Wars. Fusing issue solved just require assembly.

2 Communications relays: Materials procured, assembly required.

There are a few other props available but to reveal those will spoil the storyline.
