STORY LINE:

19 Novemeber 2010: Ariana launches a pre-emptive strike into Cordova using its elite Tropas Especciales. Tropas Especiales teams target Command and Control nodes, Logistics nodes and Vehicle assembly areas. Coronan and Cordavan forces are caught off guard and are quickly overwhelmed as Ariana's force move swiftly to eliminate their assigned targets. After breaking throuh Cordovan and Coronan front line defenses, Tropas Especiales teams isolate and eliminate all rear area secuity elements encounterd.

20 November 2010: Coronan Air Force launches recon aircraft to develop a clearer of the border penetration. At 0112 Arianan Air Defense targets and downs a Cornan RF-4C. The two man aircrew successfully egress the aircraft after reporting the situation. Corona tries to organize and rescue mission but the loss of key Command and Control facilities hampers communications slowing the Coronan response. When Arianan Air Defense reports downing the RF-4C along with seeing two parachutes, the Arianan Commander immediately diverts a Sniper team and its supporting security element to find and secure the aircrew. 0223: The Arianan Sniper team reports capture of the aircrew. 1200: Arianan forces report all primary and secondary objectives complete and withdraw to their initial phase lines.

25 November 2010: POTCUS addresses an assembly of the Corporate Collective of Nations during which a re4solution is passed declaring Ariana a rogue nation and a state sponsor of terrorism for its support of the Phelan Liberation Group. Arinan, in turn, declares its right to self defense to include pre-emption when necessary.

3 January 2011: Ariana releases signed statement from the RF-4C aircrew in which the aircrew confesses to crime against the civilian population. Ariana announces it will try the aircrew for war crimes.

4 January 2011: POTCUS declares the aircrew is entitled to protection as lawful combatants under the Corporate Collective of Nations Conventions of War. General Metzger states "These men forfieted their right to protection as lawful combatants the moment they employed their skills and equipment against civilians. Ariana will not be deterred from providing justice for the people. Those who would attempt to bring harm to Ariana be warned you will be held accountable for your actions in our military courts."

POTCUS wants the aircrew back and has a rescue/recovery operation being planned.

Safety Requirements:

1. SAFETY GOGGLES must be worn by anyone in the playing field and target range at
all times. Modifications are strictly prohibited.
2. NO SHOOTING in any areas other than the designated playing field and/or target
range. No shooting into or out of the registration area, neutral zones or parking area.
Markers may only be discharged on the active field of play or target range.
3. JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL and players or spectators will not be allowed to
argue with the referees under any circumstances.
4. BARREL BLOCKING DEVICES must be in at all times anywhere on the
property other than the designated playing field and target range.
5. NO BLIND FIRE. Have visual verification of your targets range.
6. AVOID HEAD SHOTS. Aim for center mass or lower when possible.
7. NO CLIMBING of trees, vehicles, or any structure 4’ or higher. Castles, forts, or
towers must be clearly marked in the field of play and meet our safety guidelines.
8. NO PHYSICAL CONTACT
9. NO CONSTRUCTION OF BOOBY TRAPS
10.NO ALCOHOL OR ILLEGAL DRUGS are allowed on the premises. Anyone
engaging in these activities or who is impaired will be ejected from the field. Repeat
violators will be banned from the facility permanently.
11.NO VERBAL ABUSE profanity, name-calling, or slurs against anyone’s race, religion,
or family members and friends will be tolerated.
12.NO SMOKING except in designated areas approved by the field operator.
13.NO UNAUTHORIZED EQUIPMENT or potentially dangerous gear is allowed.
All firearms, knives, machetes, etc. are prohibited. The field operator must approve all
equipment allowed on the premises.
14.MODIFICATIONS ARE PROHIBITED Players are not allowed to modify safety
goggles, rental guns, bunkers, or any property on the premises.
15.SPECTATORS are required to wear safety goggles at all times. No exceptions.

Age Limits
Unfortunately we do have to enforce age limits for safety but we are trying to include everyone. If someone is over the age of 18 or older they must properly complete the waiver before they can play, but they can do so on their own. For people between the ages 14 to 18 years of age they are required to have a properly completed waiver by their parents or guardians before they will be allowed to play. For people under the age of sixteen, they will be required to either be accompanied by their parents, guardians or an event guardian. They will still be required to have a properly completed waiver by their parents or guardians but in the case that they cannot accompany their minor an event guardian may be chosen. The event guardian assumes responsibility of the minor’s well being in the event of an injury. The parents or guardians must notarize the waiver and state that they have entrusted their minor with the event guardian.

Eye Wear
The only approved eyewear is fully sealed goggles that meet or exceed both the ANSI Z87.1 and US MIL MIL-DTL-43511D high velocity requirements. Fully sealed goggles means that there is no gap between that lenses and the face. Most industry approved Paintball, Airsoft and tactical manufactured goggled meet these requirements. Mesh masks and goggles are not allowed.

Face Protection
Face protection is mandatory for players under the age of 17. Most standard Paintball and Airsoft manufactured masks would fulfill this requirement. Neoprene face masks are allowed. Balaclavas, Shemaghs, Bandanas, or anything similar will not work. Ear flaps are not necessary but most paint ball masks have integrated ear protection.


FPS Rules

CQB:

All Pistols, AEGs 350 FPS or lower will be allowed full auto, All other AEGs
semi-auto fire only. No Snipers or SAWs.

AEG: 400 FPS maximum with 30' MED- No Box magazines
SAW: 450 FPS maximum with 50' MED- Must be SAW replicas. Only one SAW per unit
Sniper: 550 FPS maximum with 100' MED. Bolt action and Fixed Semi-Auto only.

Gear Requirements:

The forces are separated into two groups: Ariana and Corona. The camouflage of the Ariana forces will be Traditional patterns and OD Green. The camouflage patterns of the Corona forces will be Modern patterns and Khaki. Below is a list of examples. If you are not sure of a pattern that you will be using, please email us for verification.

Ariana Forces: OD Green, Woodland, Desert, Flora, Smog, VSR, Type 99, Type 03, Flecktarn, DPM, Duck Hunter, Tiger Stripe.

Corona Forces: Khaki, MarPat, ACU, ABU, MultiCam, Any Digital Variant, CadPat, Type 07, Berker, Raster, M90

• A player or team must wear the camouflage of the Army that they have registered with. We have given great latitude on the patterns. If you show up in the incorrect gear, you will not be allowed to participate. If you are not sure of a pattern that you will be wearing email us or PM Bravo 37 on Alabama Airsoft’s Forum.
•No Bubbaflage accepted as a pattern alternative. No Realtree, MossyOak, TreeBark, etc.
•Your cover, hat, must either match your pattern or be the base color of your team.
•Plate carriers and web gear do not count against color rules. It makes it easier if it matches but we understand the cost of getting this gear together.
•No one is allowed to wear black except NPC players.

Got our hands on some new pyrotechnics. Think I have come up with a way to simulate artillery strikes without unbalancing game play. Best learn how to crawl.

Also working on a door breach simulator, Corona your gonna need this to get the pilots.

Picked up two flight helmets, pilots will be easy to identify.

Will post more as other projects develop.

Also plan on using the satchel charges, mines and various other props from AOW2.

CORONA: A PAPER TIGER

Corona is flaunting the anti-communist banner everywhere in order to perpetrate aggression against other countries. The masses of the people dislike it. None of the countries in the region is free from Coronan aggression. The people are dissatisfied and in some countries so are the authorities.

All oppressed nations want independence. Everything is subject to change. The big Coronan decadent forces will give way to the small new-born forces. The small forces will change into big forces because the majority of the people demand this change. The Coronan imperialist forces will change from big to small because the Coronan people, too, are dissatisfied with their government. Now Coronan imperialism is quite powerful, but in reality it isn't. It is very weak politically because it is divorced from the masses of the people and is disliked by everybody and by the Coronan people too. In appearance it is very powerful but in reality it is nothing to be afraid of, it is a paper tiger. Outwardly a tiger, it is made of paper, unable to withstand the wind and the rain. I believe Corona is nothing but a paper tiger.

History as a whole, the history of class society for thousands of years, has proved this point: the strong must give way to the weak. This holds true for the Coronans as well.
Only when imperialism is eliminated can peace prevail. The day will come when the paper tigers will be wiped out. But they won't become extinct of their own accord, they need to be battered by the wind and the rain.

This perception of Coronans is summed up in an interview with Tropas Especiales Section Leader Primer Teniente (1LT) Hoot. "We have seen in the last decade the decline of Coronan power and the weakness of the Coronan soldier who is ready to wage Cold Wars, but unprepared to fight up close, mano a mano. This was proven in November 2009 when within 30 days the Corona public demanded the peace provided through the Treaty of Secara. It also proves they can run in less than 24 hours, and this was also repeated at Tancuri. My soldiers were surprised at the low morale, though I was not, of the Coronan soldiers and realized, more than before, that the Coronan soldier was a paper tiger and after a few blows……would run in defeat. When Coronan forces failed to respond to the punishment of its puppet Cordova or to the murders and decapitations of innocent civilians committed by its puppet; when Coronan forces initially hesitated to engage us in 2009 for fear of casualties and failed again to take action against the rebel PLG leader Jim Bob Hobbs’ continuous challenge to Cornan authority, Ariana’s soldiers realized that Corona could be defeated if the price was made high enough. If enough body bags could be returned to Corona and enough members of media were on hand to count them, our soldiers concluded that they could win by breaking the Coronan will to fight.”

There comes a point in time when verbal threats become meaningless, noble words ring hollow and righteous proclamations become counter-productive. For Corona, that point has been reached.

POTUCS CALLS FOR ADDITIONAL TROOPS

POTUCS called an emergency Senate session requesting approval to deploy additional troops in Cordova. This is a very daring move by POTUCS. At a time, when Coronan casualties are high and the conflict seems to have no end, He is starting to loose political support for the peace keeping effort. A significant number of supporting Senators are starting to waver and may call for an exit strategy to end peace keeping operations in Cordova.

POTUCS requested a $12 billion emergency appropriation and an additional 18,000 troops to support a surge in the region. At 11:00pm, the Senate passed the measure with an overwhelming vote of 57-11. Coronan Senate Majority Leader, Jasper Persvinek spoke to the press after the session. Persvinek stated that the Senate supports POTUCS strategy for a troop surge. He further went on to say that the Senate and the People of Corona are committed to finishing the job that was started 2 years ago. POTUCS was asked for a statement. He said, "We will not be swayed from the good fight. The thug tactics of our common enemy only reinforce the necessity to free Cordova. Finally, to our airmen who are being held with out provocation, I give a promise to you. We will not rest until you are safely resting on Coronan soil or our enemies are resting under theirs." There were no details provided on when the troop deployment would begin nor the identity of the additional forces.

For those wishing or needing to arrive early, you can camp in the open field in front of Doug's house or if you prefer over at red base or the field to the right just as you top the mountain. That's David Gaddy's field but he has offered it for camping any time we desire. Up at the field next to the house they could hook up to the 110v. Outlets on the light posts around open field and have access to a porta-potty.

Corona Forces,

I will be the XO for LT. Ritchie at the April game. As the XO, I will need some assistance from the Corona Forces that have recentley been deployed to this god forsaken hole. I need a rally call from every Corona player that reads the forums. I have the roster so far but I need a quick reply from all of the Team and Squad Leaders. If your TL or SL does not read the posts, post here that you are the contact for your team. If you have not posted that you are coming but think that you might come, please still contact me and identify that you will probably not be coming. I would prefer that you were prepared and did not show then have our cheese hanging on the battlefield. We need to verify our Squads and lay down the regulations for our Platoon. There will be further orders once the roll call is complete.

POTUCS warns General Metzger Aircrew must be released

This is not a threat. I have no plan for this and I’ll do everything I can to prevent it, but
what will happen if more time goes by and Mr. Bergstrom and Mr. Collins are not released?
Not only will you lose any credit you may get now, but we will decide that we have to
rescue them. I guarantee you that we are not going to pay or trade for them in any
way, shape or form…

So what we’ll decide is we have to rescue them, and whether we have the right place or the
wrong place, there’s going to be fight with your people. The minute the guns start again, all
restraint on the Coronan side goes. Just look at the stuff coming in here now. An aircraft
carrier, tanks, gunships…. This whole part of the country will be destroyed, men, women,
children, camels, cats, dogs, goats, and donkeys, everything…. That would be really tragic
for all of us, but that’s what will happen.

MSGID: DEPLOYMENT ORDER CJTF-CS, 2ND BN SOB, CSN-LIBERATOR

Assigned to CJTF-CS arrive on station no later than 18 March 2011 Cordova for an
indefinite period of time.

Purpose:
Establish a base of operations in the Bay of Tulo as a strategic launching
point for the Royal Marines and Corona Armed Forces. the 2nd Bn SOB will
set up a beach head and perform initial combat functions for an inderminate period.

2nd SOB Aviation will configure such that over the horizon deployment operations can
be executed with little or no warning. 2nd SOB Ground elements will configuired to
conduct combat operations will maintaining a minimum 5 squad alert force on 30
minute stand-by.

CSN LIBERATOR being deployed...

In the picture above, you can see that the CSN- Liberator is at dock taking supplies.
The Liberator was the first of the Amphibious Assault Ships. It is assigned to the 2nd Stryker Outremer
Battalion and Colonel James C. Schitlipz. I could not get any comments from Corona Royal Marines or Navy.
We can only speculate of the Liberators destination. This action falls on the heels of the Senate bill to send
more troops to Cordova. We wish these brave boys good luck and a safe return home from wherever they are going.

This a quick guide that I put together from army command manuals. It should give you an idea of what we will be expecting from our Squad Leaders and Team Leaders. I will reply to this post with a layman breakdown of this information. This will make a lot more sense as I roll out OPORDS, perform Roll Call during the game and finally during the mission.

Stryker Leadership Guide

Team Leaders

Team Leaders (TL). Controls the movement of his fire team and the rate and placement of fire by leading from
the front and using the proper commands and signals. Maintains accountability of his men, weapons and equipment.
Ensures his soldiers maintain unit standards in all areas:

Duties of a Team Leader
Supervises the final preparation of men, weapons, and equipment as per the squad leader guidance.
Takes actions necessary to facilitate movement.
Supervises, establishes, and maintains security at all times.
Performs all tasks given by the SL.

Squad Leaders

Squad Leader (SL). Responsible for what the squad does or fails to do. He is a tactical leader that leads
by example. A squad will be comprised of 3-4 fire teams and a squad leader.

Duties of the Squad Leader:
Directs the maintenance of the squad's weapons and equipment.
Inspects the condition of soldiers' weapons, clothing and equipment.
Manages the logistical and administrative needs of his squad.
Keeps the Platoon Leader/Platoon Sergeant informed on status of squad.
Controls the maneuver of his squad and its rate and distribution of fire.
Maintains proper movement techniques while monitoring route, pace.
Completes casualty feeder reports and review the casualty reports completed by squad members.
Uses initiative in the absence of orders.
Follows the PL’s plan and makes recommendations.
Ensures PL is notified when rest halts and water replenishment are required.

Hero of Tancuri Gorge Promoted

Delorose, Ariana - The eldest son of a peasant family, Julio Cesar Salvador; was promoted to Coronel (Colonel) in the country's armed forces, local media reported Tuesday, fuelling beliefs that the strongman, General Metzger, is grooming a potential successor.

Salvador, who commands the Mountain Rangers and is the genius behind last year’s rout of Coronan Forces, was recruited by the Ariana Intelligence Service for work in the military intelligence field. He proved to be a quick study, learning languages and tradecraft with ease. By the time he was eighteen, he had graduated with honors from the Ariana Military Service Academy. The AIS then sponsored his studies abroad, where he attended the French École Spéciale Militaire de Saint-Cyr. He graduated with distinction in 1992. He received his promotion at a ceremony Monday in Delores presided over by Defence Minister Tea Banh, who reportedly touted Salvador’s École Spéciale Militaire de Saint-Cyr education in conferring the honour.

'This school is recognized internationally for its distinction in political science, law and military affairs, and in his new position, Salvador must use the skills he has learned,' Tea Banh was quoted as saying by the Escambia Post.

General Metzger, 58, said last year that he plans to serve as premier for perhaps 15 more years and has claimed that he wants a true believer to succeed him.
Observers said, however, that Salvador’s rapid rise through Ariana’s military ranks is evidence of the premier's ambitions for his military junta.

'This is, again, part of the prime minister's attempt to consolidate power in politics,' said Jurgen Cuevas, executive director of the Ariana Institute for Democracy, a non-governmental organization that promotes democracy. 'This is the way leadership and consolidating power in Ariana works.
