Federals

Regular infantry/MPs: Your job is to secure the area. Intelligence states that there are numerous Southern Nationalist militia in the area. Your ROE is to engage those enemies whenever you see them in your area of operation. Other than that, your role is primarily defensive. Protect HQ, the supply depot, the Huey.

As long as the Huey remains in Federal hands, you have air superiority. This means that you may call for Medevac to take out your wounded and transport reinforcements. Should you lose the Huey, you've lost that ability.

Special Forces:Your mission is counter-insurgency. Locate the enemy, and kill or capture him, plain simple. Enemy leaders will be marked and you need to capture them alive if possible. In addition, there will be Spetsnaz. Capture them alive if possible as well. When you get them back to your HQ, take photos. The League of Nations doesn't believe Federal claims that Czarist forces have been operating in North America, photos will be the proof. Post those photos here on TNairsoft.com in a special thread.

Southern Nationalists: The South has endured 140+ years of Federal oppression. You are fighting for your independance.

Organized militia: You will wear a proper uniform of sorts. You will have some communication by radio, but not much. You know which channel the Spetsnaz will be on, so keep your ears open, they will try to contact you to get you together and assembled into some sort of fighting force. Your leaders will be identified. Avoid capture wherever possible. You will receive various missions by radio or runner. Remember this phrase: "Americanski militia" (mee-leet-see-ah). If you see Russians, make it known who you are.

Guerillas: You are disorganized for the most part. You're simple townsfolk. Try and link up with a militia unit where you can be helpful. If you can't do that, then kill Yankees. Don't expect much quarter if you give none. Think about that long and hard before you shoot that wounded Yankee. If you see Russians, remember this phrase "Americanski Bandeki" (American guerillas).

Spetsnaz: Try as best as you can comrades to contact Southern militia and guerillas and make some kind of fighting force out of them. Spetsnaz leaders speak English. Spetsnaz understand English, but don't speak it well. If you're a trooper, take any Southern militia to your leadership, don't bother trying to talk to them.

Civilians: Expect to be stopped by Federal troops. How friendly and cooperative you are will depend on how they treat you. You aren't required to be loyal to either side, but remember: If you get observed helping the Federals or Southern nationalists, expect to pay the price.

ROE as follows:

FPS +/- 10 w/.25s NOTE CHANGE!!!
Small arms: 400 max
SAWs: 420 max
Shotguns: spring (unlimited) gas 400, 8mm case by case basis
Launchers: Gas powered NERF/foam rockets. Flechette (BB showers against ground troops ONLY)
Sniper rifles: 500 max and 16+ years old.

Belligerents (US/SN) may fire upon each other at any time.

Russian personnel are technically not belligerents. If they're seen firing on Federal forces by Federal leaders, they may be fired on.

Civilians are subject to search by Federals at any time.

Guerillas may mix with civilians at their own risk, if they are not carrying weapons. Federals are under no obligation to respect civilian collateral damage if they receive fire from a group of civilians, it's kill em all and let God sort 'em out.

POWs are to be held at the US base, and in any Southern Nationalist stronghold. POWs may be held for 20 minutes, then they are released to find their way back to friendly forces. They may not use their weapons until they find friendly forces.

There will be vans on the property that act as helicopters, ferrying reinforcements and Medevacing wounded. They are not subject to small arms. They may be hit by NERF rounds, in which case, the helicopter is forced down and the contents subject to capture.

Guerillas are subject to summary execution. If they catch you, they can shoot you. If you're a civilian traveling with guerillas, you do so at your own risk. You can be shot for the company you keep.

POWs must take the mags out of their weapons and place them in their pockets and safe their weapons.

MEDs are as follows: 10 feet for small arms, 20 feet for SAWs, 100' for sniper rifles. Knife kills are permitted, from a position of stealth.

Some guerillas will carry Samson (suicide) bomb cards. If they can pull the card, everyone within 25 feet near proximity is dead. (Now you know why all civilians are subject to search.) The card simply says BOMB. The bomber must pull the whole card out and display it above his head and yell BOOOOM! If you are shot before the card is totally displayed, the bomb does not explode. If you are searched and the card is found, it is disarmed.

If hit, pull your red flag, call for a medic. You may be taken a medic by friendly forces. One or two arm carry. There will be an aid station. All dead players go to the aid station FIRST. Then to your respective HQ for return to the game. Medics carry three cards, DEAD, MEDEVAC, RETURN.
RETURN means the wound has been treated. MEDEVAC means call for a van. DEAD means return the player to the aid station.

Immediate death is caused by: Knife kill, Samson bomb, summary execution.

A word of advice: Civilians are neutral in the beginning. They favor no side. They may be persuaded to assist or join one side or another by various means, not all them obvious. Piss off a civilian, he might just join the guerillas. Or help the Federals. Walk carefully. V E R Y carefully.

Federal reinforcement rule: Players in the Federal dead pool are your reinforcements. You must reinforce in 4 man groups or higher.
To get reinforcements, call on the radio for a helicopter (van). That doesn't mean a van is always available. If there is one, tell where you are and what you need (reinforcements). Wounded can be taken out in the same run. The pilot (van driver) makes the call as to whether he will or won't come into the area (just like real life).

Southern reinforcement rule: Unless you have overran the landing zone and have the Huey in your position, you have NO Medevac.
The Russians have medics, the militia have medics. Guerillas take their wounded to militia/Russians. Medics may set up field aid stations, but they can be overrun by opposing forces and the medics and wounded taken prisoner.
