Armed Forces Day Shootout 2008

Postby GunDriver » Sat Apr 19, 2008 6:08 pm

Ky. Airsoft Association and Allied Forces Airsoft Present:

Armed Forces Day Shootout 2008: A KyAirsoft.org Sanctioned Airsoft Event.

When:

Saturday, May 17th. 9:00 AM. CST. Till???

Where:

Allied Forces Field,

Bowling Green, Ky.

Directions: http://www.alliedforcesairsoft.com/directions.html

What:

A full day a of mixed skirmishes and scenarios in the unique Allied Forces style of play! Players will be challenged with a mixture of medic rule based games as well as “Blitz” style games that place an emphasis on team play and tactics as opposed to arcade and paintball style respawns and speedball run and gun tactics. The fun and easy to understand rules system combined with the Unique layout of AFA Field are sure to make this event fun and challenging for players of all skill levels. We will be holding a "Special Op" at this event. For information on this Op, look for this thread at http://www.kyairsoft.org in the Events Section!

Admission:

There is a $5 per person field fee, payable to AFA_Zippo on the day of the game. The money goes to Zippo's Mother, for kindly letting us use her land.

OTHER:

Smoking is allowed on AFA field outside the area of play only! Players that choose to smoke are expected to police their own Cigarette Butts.

Everyone is responsible for their own garbage. Please bring a plastic bag to dispose of refuse. Please help us keep our field clean!

Hydration is important! AFA will be selling water and Gatorade throughout the day and as always, players are free to bring their own food and drinks.

ABSOLUTELY NO ALCHOHOLIC BEVERAGES ON THE FIELD!!

Field Rules for this event:

All new members and visiting players and/or teams MUST read and sign a Waiver form before being granted access to the field of play. You can download and print the waiver via the link below.

http://www.alliedforcesairsoft.com/waiver.pdf

Waiver forms can also be obtained at the field. If you do not have a signed Waiver you will not be allowed to play. NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Players MUST wear proper eye protection during every game AT ALL TIMES. There is no acceptable reason to remove your face mask or goggles during a game. You don't have to protect the rest of your face or head, but you must protect your eyes.

You are responsible for calling your own hits. We work on the honor system and trust everyone to truthfully register when and where they are hit.

During a game if a player is eliminated from the game, that player must immediately shout "DEAD MAN!!", produce an official death-rag that is easily visible to other players, and walk quietly back to the staging area, with the death-rag visible at all times. Please do not talk to others until you reach the staging area, and even then, please keep your voice down.

Remember, dead men don't talk! Do not talk to other players still in the game as you walk from the battle area. Giving away opposing team member's positions is not fair or acceptable.

If you manage to get to within 15 feet or less of another player, and they are not actively firing at you, or possibly even pointing their gun at you, it is polite and customary to say "BANG!", to eliminate the other player. If the other player does not accept the Elimination, and raises their gun to shoot, you have every right to let them have it at close range.....which WILL hurt a lot!

Use of white BBs is basically a standard, but feel free to use whatever brand or color of BB that you wish.

If you run out of ammo during a game, you can pick some ammo from the corpse of a nearby dead person if available, or simply ask a team-mate for some ammo (if they have any to spare).

Because many of the AEGs (automatic electric guns) owned by players cost around or above $500, no player may use another person's gun without the owner's consent. No-one is required to let you use their gun.

Please be conscious of where you point your gun before and after a game. Pointing your gun at someone close to you, intentionally, or unintentionally, known as "flagging" is not permitted. You have been warned! :-)

THERE IS A 400 FPS (feet-per-second) LIMIT ON ALL AEG's, 430 FPS (feet-per-second) LIMIT ON ALL HEAVY SUPPORT WEAPONS, AND A 550 FPS (feet-per-second) LIMIT ON ALL SNIPER RIFLES. THIS IS STRONGLY ENFORCED, AND YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY WITH A GUN THAT IS IN VIOLATION OF THIS RULE BY MORE THAN 10 FPS. Field Limits are monitored by Chrono and are based on a .25g BB.

Heavy Support Weapons are also limited to a 50 FOOT Minimum Engagement Distance (M.E.D) due to their high rate of fire.

No homemade land mine or other explosive BB devises that have not been cleared by a gun tech. NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Rubber knives will be permitted, but they must be checked by either Top or a gun tech (Vampire or Mainframe), before use.

MEDIC! Rules

We play our games in a slightly different way from regular Airsoft games, to add a little depth to the game. Most groups use rules where either 1 hit anywhere on your body means you're out or where only body and head shots are kills. We go about things in a slightly different way.

It is advised that everyone bring their own method of measuring time during the game.....such as a stopwatch, or separate watch, so that you can measure injury times. You are responsible for starting and stopping your own death clock!

There are 3 wound zones; light, critical, and fatal.

FATAL WOUNDS

Any head shot from the base of the neck up is a fatal wound. A fatal wound cannot be healed. If you are fatally wounded, you must declare yourself dead immediately.

CRITICAL WOUNDS

Any body shot from the waist to the bottom of the neck is a critical wound. Critically wounded may not shoot unless healed. Without a med pack, the wounded cannot heal themselves. Wounded starts a 2 min. clock at the beginning of the wound. If medical assistance is not completed within 2 min. then the critical wound becomes fatal. Any friendly team member can provide medical assistance. To heal a critical wound, the medic must place one hand on the wounded for a consistent 10 sec. Person must be healed completely before the wounded bleeds out (before the 2 min. expires). Critically wounded players may speak, but only about the nature of their wound and how much they have bled out. Players critically wounded may not heal other players until healed themselves. Players critically wounded on the winning teams that have not bled out at the end of the game are considered healed.

A PLAYER MAY ONLY BE HEALED FROM A CRITICAL WOUND ONE TIME PER GAME. IF ANOTHER CRITICAL WOUND IS RECEIVED AFTER BEING HEALED FROM THE FIRST ONE, THAT PLAYER IS IMMEDIATELY OUT OF THE GAME.

LIGHT WOUNDS

Any arm or leg shot is a light wound. Lightly wounded may still shoot. Light wounds can be healed by anyone (including the wounded themselves). Wounded team member cannot "bleed out" from a light wound so there is no death clock. Another team member can heal a light wound in 10 sec with 1 hand. The wounded can heal themselves in 2 min without medical attention. Players with light wounds may speak freely and provide teammates with game sensitive information. Players with light wounds may heal another wounded player.

MOVEMENT WHILE WOUNDED

Team members with a light or critical wound may move one body length unassisted from the point they were shot. Wounded may move further with assistance (arm of wounded must be draped over allied team member). Wounded may not be healed and moved at the same time unless two healthy team members are attending to the wounded simultaneously.

Have Fun, Be Safe! We look forward to having everyone out!

Please check back for updates on the event as they become available!
