Uniform Requirements:
This is a WWII airsoft event, designed by and for those players who have expressed interest in this type of history-based event.
One of the most important factors in creating an immerse and enjoyable WWII scenario is the willingness of participants to take on a basic uniform appearance appropriate for the era in question. For this event, you must wear acceptable WW2-style uniform and headgear, or risk embarrassing yourself.
For this event you MUST have appropriate WW2 headgear of some kind either soft caps or helmets. Soft caps are fairly inexpensive for either side, surplus pot helmets are cheap for US troops, expensive reproduction are available for the Germans, with cheap plastic versions available for both. We have run two events at least a year for the last couple years so it is an investment in the future not a one shot deal.
If you're not sure what is acceptable, ask!
Players that go the extra mile to produce a good impression will be rewarded with leadership positions and some extra special missions/treats.
Units Involved Breakdown:
We are breaking you guys down according to your WW2 impression so be sure to sign up under the unit you want to go with.
Allies

Good example of a basic Heer soldat:
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE CHOICES -
Uniform requirements are ridiculously liberal:
Germans -
1) Original or inexpensive reproduction kit (many inexpensive chinese items are now available, see Ebay for examples, heck, even At The Front is now carrying chinese-made uniforms), feel free to combine with any choices below.
2) Modern grey bdu's (dye them with some Kelly green RIT dye for a better color if you can). We wrote an article on how to do this, with pictures of results.
3) West German Flectarn or Austrian peadot jackets (close enough to M44 pea dot for us, since that's what it is based on) with grey, green-grey or brown-grey pants (Chinamart, etc)
4) Any grey or green-grey 2 pocket button up long sleeve shirt with pants from #3.
5) Similar East German, Swiss, or Swedish uniforms tunics and/or pants.
6) Black bdus (or black long sleeve button up shirt & cargo pants) and black "piss cutter" overseas cap (and now you're a dismounted AFV crew)
7) Italian San Marco pattern jackets and pants (nearly unchanged for 70 years).
US -
1) Original or inexpensive reproduction kit (again, lots of vendors here), feel free to combine with any of the following choices.
2) Modern OD green bdu's (Truspec are the best with regard to color)
3) Vietnam-era OD bdu's
4) Olive drab M65 field jacket with olive drab, khaki, brown-green, or chocolate brown pants (Chinamart, etc).
5) Khaki or tan bdu jacket with pants from #4
6) Any khaki or olive drab 2 pocket long sleeve button up shirt with pants from #4
British -
Please see the post on being a Brit on the cheap. We don't get to many would-be Brits. British DPM jackets are acceptable substitutes for Denison smocks.
Resistance = If you don't feel you can do a uniform or don't have OD you can wear old style civilian clothes. = Button up work shirt, chinos, maybe a vest. We will provide you with an armband.
Uniforms (including leggings/gaitors, where appropriate) and headgear make the most bang for the buck. Other gear is less important.
We have a special rule to encourage and reward the use and wear of helmets (even the cheap plastic kind).
Please just leave the modern tactical gear (tac vests, lasers, radios, taclights, boonie hats, PASGT helmets, etc) at home.
None of it should go to waste, either, since we've been holding two such events a year now for a while, and both TCairsoft and MGP (down in Florida) are looking to start doing some WW2 events as well.
NO modern camo patterns other than specifically listed.
NO Tigerstripe, Woodland, ACU, Marpat, etc. Please do not even ask.
NO Sweatpants, Led Zepplin T-shirts, or similarly inappropriate modern civilian attire. No bubbaflage, hunting camo, or lime green jogging suits.
NO Tactical vests or modern tactical gear (radios, mics, earbuds, GPS, etc).
Rules: We will be using a variation of these WW2 airsoft rules of play, found here:
