Highpoint Game on! Sept 18th 10am

Postby dogsoldier » Sun Sep 05, 2010 6:39 pm

This is a 17 and up event, with a special twist we will be doing a post apocalyptic theme (think the colony) with missions based off of that premise. Start time 10am. stay tuned for more details.

ok, sounds great. Will it be alright if i bring a video camera to tape an event and put it on youtube? I've got editing software, so i could add special effects and stuff. It would be awesome to have a highpoint youtube profile and post videos just like scoutthedoggie on youtube.

Gonna try and make this one. will possibly have up to six come with me. It's a work day for me and some of the guys, but I've got some room where I can shift some time around. I'll try and get you a solid number this week.... I have to come up to the shop anyway. And the web site rocks! You guys did a good job.

A little back story to set the theme for this weekends festivities:

The Last War has blown itself out; survivors of the apocalypse scavenge the carcass of the old world to live.
Resources are scarce and life cheap, so a recently-destroyed convoy is a prize worth fighting for - both for
the inhabitants of the nearby town of Salvage and for The Priest's wasteland acolytes. But there's more going
on around Sanctuary than meets the eye. Why wasn't the convoy picked clean already? What deadly secret do
the survivors hold? And who's watching?

THE VILLAGERS: People of all walks of life who've managed to scrounge together enough to keep the town now
called Sanctuary alive. although the town has a few comforts food is not one of them.

THE ACOLYTES: Survivors who have been forced to adopt a nomadic lifestyle under the leadership of a charismatic ( albeit crazy) Priest/prophet.
Recent victims of an outbreak of disease, they are desperate for medical supplies

Very Interesting. Sounds really cool. Who's going to play Eli walking around with the last copy of the bible?

PLEASE Be On Time in the morning. the first 2 scenarios are long so if you are late (you may have to wait out) its on you. gates open at 9am. Game starts at 10am so you need to be ready and get chrono'd before 10am.

Also No one is allowed on the field prior to game time. You may see people preparing the field that does not mean its ok for you to walk on to it.

Radios will greatly help your side in this game! bring em if you got em.

That was outstanding, boys and Whitney!
Great fun, the foot sore hill team played very well, in my culty, nutjob opinion. Our numbers will grow, comrades, as the suckered red teamers and R1ners who drank deeply of the purple kool-aid shall soon come to know the Proper Team to join....
I shall endeavor to have, um, more gripping sermon materials as my radiation poisoning spreads.

Ha, and ha again.

Thank you to all who played and I extend my gratitude to the Recon 1 team; that was a lot of work to configure and run the scenarios. Thank you guys for the efforts and results. And how about some larger gasoline containers next time? Great googa mooga that was tough work for the flock. No, I did not touch them; I loved my job!

Great scenario today Recon 1. However, I think I lost brain cells just waiting on Jim to stop preaching, ha. It seems like we (red team) waited in the town forever. Gave me time to reflect on life.
