Just saying Hi

Postby odie072 » Sat Jan 01, 2011 9:48 pm

Hi, been a lurker here for a little while, decided I'd join. Little bit about me, I'm 46, pretty straightforward, but do like to joke around a bit. Ex-Air Force SP, interested in shooting, as it applies to Military, Law Enforcement and self-defense. Never really been into airsoft gaming per se, but wouldn't rule it out or run it down. My interest in airsoft is mainly associated in Force on Force style training, and hope to get some airsoft guns that are the same as the real guns that I have. I currently have 2 KSC G26's w/G17 mags(wouldn't you know, I sold my Glock last year :) ).

I'm going to be in the market for an AK and CZ75b style airsoft in the near future, and eventually will get an M4 style(as those are my current "real" guns). Interested in hearing from others in the area and from those who also use their airsoft in the FOF role. Funds are extremely tight, so I'm not going to spend a lot on these airsoft(not putting others down that do, though).

Glad to be here.

Welcome to the forum.

You'll find this forum is not going to be very helpful to you. At all. It's populated by kids and even a few grown men who think they are actually operators, or living their video gaming wet dreams.

Airsoft for Force on Force is excellent. We're fixing to start using airsoft in H2H drills, and already use it on the range, for fire and movement drills before we do it with our real guns.
Also works great for checking angles / line of fire when building your own shoot house.

I use my 1911 Springer for retention drills and just to practice clearing kydex. It's fits my 1911 holsters perfect.

Thanks for the heads-up, I appreciate the honesty. I'll probably lurk, more than post, I mainly got my info out there, so if anyone with the same training mentality, was in the same area, we could share some info.

Thanks again,
