Many times a player will find that his gearbox may be "locked up" or "seized up" and is unable to fire. This quick "hop-to" will show you how to manually reset your gearbox and have your gun back up and running.

Q-what would cause my gun to do this?
A- A failure to have the gears make a full cycle is usually the cause. A low power battery or a half pull of the trigger is the most common cause of this.

---What you need---
Screw driver (if your AEG has standard screws on the grip)
Hex key set (if your AEG has hex screws on the grip)
Small hook (A dental hook works great. If you cant find one a small screw driver or a small piece of coat hanger will work)
Needle nose pliers (optional)

---Step 1---
Take your screw driver or hex key and remove the screws on the bottom of the grip as shown

---Step 2---
Apply a bit of pressure and remove the motor base (NOTE: Marui's and Marui based clones have a motor spacer inside the base just remove it and set it aside)

---Step 3---
Remove the black and red wires from the motor by lifting up on them (NOTE: G&Ps can often be found with small set screws holding the wires to the the motor, just unscrew them and make sure to keep up with the screws) After the wires are disconnected lift up on the motor to remove it.

---Step 4---
Remove the 2 screws holding the grip in place

---Step 5---
Apply a bit of force to remove the grip from the rifle

---Step 6---
Here is the fun part. Take your hook or improvised hook and hook it under the anti reversal latch and pry it from the bevel gear, if you have successfully pried it apart you will hear the gearbox make a "pop" or "whack" that is the sound of the gears and piston resetting.

The part you are trying to hook looks like this

---Assembly---
its pretty straight forward, just repeat the steps in reverse and remember to set the wires correctly back on the motor and if your grip requires a motor spacer remember to place it on the motor before you screw it all back on to place
