The Famas...One of the most under rated AEGs in the airsoft world (in my opinion). This rifle has a history of being a pain to work on but in reality its a simple gun and gearbox that any tech should be able to rip open and put back together with ease.
---Things to know---
The Marui Famas offers the EG560 motor and is a proprietary motor just to this model.
The Marui Famas offers a proprietary spring guide that is only used in the Famas
---Notes---
The Famas uses a V1 gearbox
Indise the gearbox
---What you need to disassemble---
Phillips screwdriver
Needle nose pliers
---Step 1---
Remove the 1 screw on the buttpad of the famas and it slips right off
---Step 2---
Remove the 2 screws on the fire selector and it should slide off like the stock pad
---Step 3---
After the fire selector is off you should be able to see the gearbox, take this time to reset the gears by hitting this lever with your hand or a screwdriver.
---Step 4---
Remove the screws on both the right and left side of the Famas (the ones just above the magwel)
---Step 5---
After the screws are out shimmy the plastic cover off the gun by angling it and it should come right off
---Step 6---
Take your needle nose pliers and remove this plastic piece on the right side of the gun just in front of the gearbox (dont damage or loose this!)
---Step 7---
Remove the screws on the plastic tabs that hold the gearbox in place
---Step 8---
Pull your V1 gearbox out from the gun
