Operation Jungle Extraction

In the middle of September 2008, Americans recieve word from an informant that deep in the jungles of Vietnam lie Amreican P.O.Ws still waiting for rescue. Upon recieving this teams Alpha and Bravo are deployed to bring our boys home.

Ideal conditions...
Alpha and Bravo team are five man teams. One squad leader, a medic, support gunner/sniper, and two assualt marines.

The VC guarding the POWs are a group of around 20 men. They have one base commander, two medics, and the remainig positions are filled with whatever weapons are at hand.


Objectives
American special forces are to retrive the POWs( a group of around 5). They will enter at different points of the feiild, for better ambush or sneaking tactics.Once they retrieve them they must make it back to their LZ and hold it down for five minutes, until the choppers arrive. They must keep three of the five POWs alive, this is the only means of victory.

VC must utterly destroy the Americans. Both Alpha and Bravo squads must be wiped out in order to achieve success.

Rules
1. Medics are the ONLY meens to respawn. No medics, no respawn.
2.POWs may only use a side-arm once freed.
3.Should the American teams free the POWs they gain a third medic.
4.Once freed the POWs will not respawn.
5.NO TIME LIMIT.
6.One shot kills, gun shots don't count.
7.Have fun.

could use a little tweaking but for the most part that sounds like a pretty good idea, the story could be changed for a large range of games.

I like it and this is one of those scenarios that can go with any time frame that you wanted to do. Desert storm, Current. WW2

Thanks for all the input. Spook you espically mention some things i didn't even think of. Then again the Vietnam War is tecinally still going on. We just signed a cease fire agreement. Any soldier stationed over there is getting hazard pay, just like the men in Iraq. I can change the story that some modern soldiers were captured and now we want them back. Maybe in the scenario the Vietnam war is getting under way again.
