well I'm guessing most of you have seen the band of brothers series about Easy company...
I was thinking of a 4 day 3 night event in an area with a field about half a mile across with trees creating a line on both sides of the field.
The Germans on the german side of the feild would have 500 rounds for heavy-submachine gunners 100 for riflemen and snipers, along with 2 artillery guns firing nerf rockets.
The americans would be low on ammo, 200 rounds for heavy machine guns, 100 for submachine guns, 50 for riflemen, and 40 for snipers.
At the start of the first day the allies would dig in on the allied side of the field (prep. foxholes, fortify cover and all that).
If one of the american soldiers runs out of ammo he can be resupplied by one of his comrades, but only from the ammo that has been alotted to his class...(Heavy gunner, submachine gunner, rifleman...etc).
Grenades are allowed.
The only other gear all soldiers are allowed to carry, consist of BDU clothing, shovel, hatchet for chopping small timber for reinforcing foxhole cover, enough rations for the entire game. and anything else that goes with their normal combat gear.
The german and allied teams would consist of about 15-20 people each.
The german team would be allowed to shell the allied position 3 times a day for 5 minutes, any shell that landed within 8 feet of someone not in a foxhole would be considered dead. If the soldier is in his foxhole when the shell hit that number would be reduced down to 3 feet. Any casulty from an artillery strike would not be able to be revived.
There will be two refs. on the allied team to decide when a soldier has been killed by an arty strike and to allot the ammo to the soldiers. there will be one ref. on the german team to do the same...
A person who has been *shot* can be revived twice by a medic only...after if they get hit a third time they are dead...time hit will be indicated by a ribbon tied around the soldiers arm. each time the medic revives the player he take a ribbon from the players arm, when the last ribbon is taken and the player is hit again, he is dead...
The german team will be required to send a patrol of 1-10 people every 3-8 hours on a raid againts the allied forces.
the allied team will be required to send a patrol of 1-10 people twice a day at a time that will be decided by the CO of the allied force...
CO's for each team will be picked before the game by a drawing of names...One CO per team and One NCO.
what do you guys think? ideas?
