1777-British forces, tipped off by information tortured from a prisoner, awaits Washington at his Delaware crossing. The Hessians have been reinforced by British troops. Washington is defeated and he is captured and dragged back to Boston in chains.
General Howe supervises the execution after a hasty trial for treason and sedition and Washington is hung. Fifty thousand additional British troops are garrisoned in New England.
In the South, Frances Marion and his men continue the fight, but they are poorly armed and with the losses in New England, outnumbered. Ethan Allen's men in Vermont are cut off and he surrenders.
Finally, the Continental Army surrenders at Boston. The Crown has won. King George sends yet another 25,000 men with orders to sit on the rebellious colonies. Taxes go higher. Freedom of speech is a byword. The right to bear arms is revoked. Every large city has its British garrison.
