Alright guys....Been watching Bourne Identity and the embassy scene gave me an idea.
Reqs:
5-15 actors. it seems like alot...but if you pay them...they will come
10-32 players. 3 teams, so you could definately use more
5-7 refs. its highly involved...so dont think that the honor system will work
a 3+ level building with roof access
The base plan:
You have the actors going through a busy day at the office/bank/sperm bank and the base idea is a terrorist attack. Terrorists choose roof or level 1 entrance. One guard posted at each entrance. One actor is rigged with an alarm system but he must be placed at some place where he could normally have access to the alarm (counter clerk or something). At this point the building guards kick in, having to clear the building (Keep in mind these guys would theroretically be 2 members down...but naturally short handed) These guards will be pistols only unless they reach a field-designated arms room (where thier standard rifles would be held). After 5 minutes (or a longer length of time-depending on the ammount of players) the cops arrive, and proceed to engage in hostage negotions and possible tactical entry.
Heres the big thing- all 3 teams are kept away from the site until gametime. Obviously guards, then actors, then terrorists (they will be provided a map), then the cops (provided a map by an escaped hostage/guard, will have to be debriefed).
The beauty in this is that the scenario isnt all set in stone. The terrorists can fashion a bomb, can take only hostages, or can go all gung-ho and kill everybody. This is more than likely a training scenario used for something like an AP CQB comp, but it could still theoretically work for a long operation, assuming that everything is kept under raps until the OP date. You could definately have some fun with this.
Naturally there are things that would prevent us from running this scenario, such as (first and foremost) location, but it would be awesome if we could get a group together and do it. One thing that strikes me though is that NO players can have access to the field before the OP date, or roster lockin date (the officers cant have any clue as to what the building looks like internally).
Memphis was great, but now I play with the Lonestars!
