Making The Tri-Citys a better place!

Guys, as a local airsoft community we have alot of responsibility we need to assume and take action to make the area more *Approving* and more *Willing* to work with us to attract more buisness and field owners to make profit! I have been thinking that maybe here locally we can find a property that is vacant/for sale/etc. that is not in use and see if we can have charity events and maybe have 1 in a life time games like lets say, theres a warehouse that is gonna be destroyed or sold or something soon and they are getting desperate to maintain or low on funds, we can propose the idea of having a Charity type event on their property, like we could have it where the admission (pending on area/field size/headcount/owner/etc.) we could pay to play for a one time thing and have it where 10% of what is made go's to a Charity organization of the Owners choice that way we can play airsoft and help for a good cause! When we have events like this that will be a once in a lifetime thing it will attract EVERYONE! This is our duty as a Tri-Citys Airsofter to make the community a better place, not to sit back and watch others do it. Comment with idea's or PM me with any info you have or would like to know. I support you but I think the local airsoft scene needs to grow a bit before we could pull this off successfully. If you want something that big, there are lots of costs involved, and not just money either. It takes lots of time, planning, patience. It is a great idea, but try to start a bit smaller... maybe talk to Wes at TAS and see if he can take 1 or 2 bucks from each player and donate it, and show it is from TAS and the local Airsoft Community. Or Setup a table at a TAS game for donations with maybe a raffel for those that donate. I'm just tossing ideas out there, but with planning you can get some good done.

I have had this idea for quite some time and financly if i was to afford it I would but the old Whites Grocery Store in Gray. The building is huge!!! Id love to make it an indoor Airsoft Field. Dude this place has so much potential I used to work there about 11 years ago and now it went out of business and it needs something like that. Plus there are so many parking places its insane. Think about it

On the off chance someone pulls something off, there's a place next to ingles in Coloniel heights that's been vacant since they first started doing super wal marts.

Honestly if it's that bad they might be convinced to let ya run an event in exchange for cleanup, assuming the owners aren't too worried about getting sued when someone falls and busts his ass.

Especially if it's an professional, orderly team that has their stuff together and has verifiable experience running successful events presenting the idea as a training situation primarily rather than an all-comers game.
