Postby bigrik » Sat Jun 21, 2008 7:10 pm

I recieved this info in a PM from a local player who is highly recommending this game. So im passing the info along. He will be keeping us informed as details develop.

Lets see if we can get some players together to hit this from the Tri-Cities community.

Brought to you by:
Nashville Airsoft – www.nashvilleairsoft.com

From one of the creators of Operation Ill Wind – November 2006.

Location: Bad Karma Field, Lebanon, TN
Date: August 2nd, 2008
Time: 10am until 6pm

Cost:

Registrations between:
June 23rd – June 30th
Ill Wind Vets: $10
Team Registrations: $10
All Others: $15

Registrations between:
July 1st – July 15th
Ill Wind Vets: $15
All Others: $20

$5 for each player will be donated to Bad Karma for the use of their field. The rest will go to supplies. It is our experience that charging even a modest event fee attracts a higher quality of player.

BlueFor – 54 Players
Uniform: Woodland, MARPAT, Tiger Stripe

RedFor – 54 Players
Uniform: Multicam, 3 color desert, Desert MARPAT

General Mission Information:
This will be a MilSim style event, players should expect a higher operational tempo than a normal airsoft game. Players should also expect much more complicated mission objectives, and understand the teamwork will be required to accomplish many of the objectives.

The event will consist of 4 – 90 minutes missions, mission objectives will not be released to the teams until 15 minutes before the mission starts.

Chrono/Checkin will open at 8:30am, the first mission will start at 10am sharp. Players should plan on enough time to chrono and prep to start at 10am. Players who show up late should expect to have to wait until the next mission to play.

More information will be released on the Operation Falcon in the coming weeks.

Age Limits:
Riflemen – 16 years or older with parent signed waiver (No Exceptions)

Special Positions/Squad Leader – 18 years or older and staff approval.

FPS Limits:
All FPS limits are with .25bb’s – You may shoot whatever weight plastic BB (no metal BBs allowed) you wish.

Riflemen - 400fps – 0ft MED
SAW Gunner – 450fps – 50ft MED – staff approved
DMR – 500fps – 75ft MED – staff approved
Sniper – 650fps – 100ft MED – staff approved – bolt action only

All weapons must be chronographed before being allowed on the field. (Except green gas blow back pistols) Chronograph Staff has the final say on whether a weapon will be allowed, any player caught cheating will be asked to leave the event without refund.

Magazine Rules:
All players MUST use mid-cap non-winding magazines that hold less than 200 rounds.

SAW gunners may use box mags or hi-cap winding magazines (Only approved SAWs maybe used, any NATO or Warsaw PACT LMG’s are approved M249, M60, and RPK). Placing a box mag on your MP5, M4 or G36 does not qualify as a SAW for this event. If you have a weapon which you would like approved as a SAW, it must be approved by the staff BEFORE the event.

Squad Rules:
Each squad will be made up of 10 players, one player will be assigned as the squad leader, and players are expected to work as a team with their squad.

Each squad will have 2 SAW gunners, 1 DMR, 1 Medic and 1 M203/Rocket Launcher. These positions will be assigned ahead of time, please check the roster. Squad Leaders take one of the SAW/DMR positions.

All players in a SAW or DMR position MUST carry a sidearm at all times on the playing field.

Special Weapons Rules
Only players in the M203 position may carry a M203/rocket launcher on the field. These players may shoot either shot shells, or NERF rockets. If you have another type of foam rocket you want to use it must be approved by the staff BEFORE the event.

Nerf rounds will have a 10feet/room kill radius. If a NERF rocket is launched into a room, all players in that room are dead.

Only non-explosive grenades are approved for this event. If you have an explosive grenade design you want to use, it must be approved by the staff BEFORE the event. Easter Egg grenades will NOT be approved.

Grenades have a hit kill radius. If a BB does not hit the player they are not out.

Medic/Respawn Rules:
All hits including gear hits (with the exception of gun hits) count as a ‘death’.

Each team will have a designated respawn location. Players may not camp, or fire into the respawn at anytime. Players are ALLOWED to fire out of respawn locations.

If a player goes to their respawn, they must wait at that respawn for at least 10 minutes before returning to the game.

Players must carry a red death rag with them at all times. Players who are ‘dead’ should place the death rag on their head or wave it above their head. Players who fail to do so will likely continue to be fired upon.

When a player is hit they may immediately walk to their designated respawn location, or may stay in place for a medic to ‘save’ them.

‘Dead’ players maybe used as cover, if you find yourself ‘dead’ in the line of fire, and do not want to be hit. Get up and go to the nearest designated respawn.

Medics may save a player once, if a player is hit after being saved once, they must return to the nearest designated respawn location.

Medics may save players by tying a piece of Para cord onto the player or their gear. Once the Para cord is in place the player must wait 2 minutes then they are ‘alive’ and back in play.

Medics may start each mission with up to 25 – 12 inch pieces of Para cord. It is the responsibility of the medic to provide their Para cord.

Safety Rules :
August in Middle TN is very hot, all players should carry proper amount of water and properly hydrate at all times, it is each players responsibility to stay hydrated while playing.

All players MUST wear proper eye protection while on the playing field at all times.

Firing in the staging area is not allowed. All players must remove mags or holster weapons while in the staging area.

All players must fire semi-auto only when engaging targets which are in the same building as them.

Players who are shooting weapons over 400fps must sling their weapon and draw their sidearm before entering an uncleared room/building. They may not engage targets within the same building as them with their rifles.

All players must understand there is a 0ft Minimum Engagement Distance. Players are responsible for understanding the risks of engaging in CQC (Close Quarters Combat) and if they are unwilling to take that risk, they should not place themselves in that situation.

There is no surrender rules for this game, players are encouraged aim for non-sensitive areas when they get the drop on another player.

Players need to understand the risks involved in a 0ft MED game, and not place themselves in situations to get shot unless they are willing to accept the risks involved. If players find themselves in a situation where they are not willing to accept the risk, they should call themselves out and move to the nearest respawn location.

General Rules:
Airsoft is a game of honor, you are expected to call your hits, when in doubt call yourself out. At the same time you are not allowed to call others out. If you have a problem with another player or hot gun, call for a staff member to resolve the situation.

From time to time you will get shot after calling out, or while walking to respawn, it is your responsibility to make it clear you are out.

All players must carry a radio capable of monitoring their teams command net at all times on the field.

Staff members have the final say on all game related matters.

These rules are subject to change within a reasonable time before the event.

It’s each players responsibility to follow these rules and conduct themselves in a safe manner. If a player is unable or unwilling to follow these rules, they will be asked to leave without a refund.
