I want my input on this!
Lets have the cookout, but not involve airsoft as in us playing at all. Instead, lets maybe play football, soccer, frisbee, ect.... Just get together to chill and make some friends.
I think that if we are truly involved in the sport and want to see us ACTIVE participants come together, a weekend of no airsoft and just hanging out will be better. I have quite a few reservations about trying to do this and still play, but that is just me...
If we had enough people with boats, I'd say lets go out on the lake! My family has a house boat on Cherokee lake and I know of a perfect spot to anchor! We could swim from the houseboat and cook us some hamburgers and hot dogs. We could do it off of an Island that has quite a big beach area if we want to play some sports. Just an idea to broaden the horizons...

Thats awesome! Billy has offered to have the cookout at his house. But the number of people showing up could be to much. So some of us might need to start calling some of our local parks and start checking on availability of shelters, price and dates available. I will call Steele's Creek Park in Bristol, Tn. and report back by Friday. Maybe someone else could call some of the other parks. Then report back by Friday as well. Then we could start hashing out food, drinks, and etc.

Warriors Path Sate Park has a bunch of the big picnic shelters available for $51.00.
The available Saturday dates are: Aug 9th, Aug 16th, Aug 23rd, and Aug 30th.
They also have the picnic area on the hill in front of the marina which is first come first serve. Theres no shelter but its free.
