I want to thank eveyone who had a hand in making this game work.

1st OP *TAKE THE CITY* was very chalangeing but with great effort and constant pressure the VC won through
2nd OP *NEEDLE IN A HAYSTACK* An almost inpossible mission for the US but they kept running up that hill and bringing the fight to the VC. But in the end the Needle was too well hidden. VC wins.
3rd and 4th OP No idea was too worn out to stay any longer. Looking forward to someone completeing the AAR and filling me in on how things went.

PROS:
Again AWSOME event!
I had no problem getting my shots called
OPs were well thought out and easy to understand
Gameplay seemed to go smooth without any flaws

CONS:
TOO HOT!!! *Not much we can do about that*
Too long between CHRONO and 1st game ***Maybe brief CO day earlier so they can draw up their plans to avoid any un-needed down time***
VC needed better command structure, a lot of the time I re-spawned with 4 or 5 guys and had no direction from CO, XO, or Squad Leader. **Would be nice to have someone at the spawn to give orders to outgoing squads this would cut down on friendly fire and make the whole team work better together**

Conclusion:
WOW Great Event!!! Everyone that I spoke to had a great time. Im looking forward to see what the next big game these guys are gonna come up with next!

My biggest gripe was the ultra long break between the first and second game. Taking a break that long in that heat messes you up for the rest of the day. I was dead tired after the break. And from what I heard, there was a long pause between chrono and the first game. I wouldn't know, as I was late. My team arrived right as the VC started to storm the city. We were 3 hours late and had not even missed the first game. Everything else was pretty sweet.

There were a lot of cons. MOst can be fixed rather easily.

1. Get rid of the modern uniforms. You want Nam, buy OD green, or tiger or woodland. Most guys can get woodland. It's cheap and close enough to ERDL to make due.

Charlie: Black, grey, dark blue

NVA: Tan

It doesn't have to be 100% accurate, just give the feel.

Charlie wear your pants over your boots 'leg' style. High top canvas shoes are OK too. A rag around the head works.

2. Less talk more play. 2 games all day was discouraging. We got jaw-flapped to death.

3. Have the ROEs figured out before the game. Adhere to them. Demonstrate ROEs if necessary to make sure each side completely understands what they and may NOT do. That was a major factor in the city game.

4. You want to have jamming, etc? Fine. But that needs to be stipulated beforehand that it is permitted, because most Airsoft games DO NOT permit it.

5. Don't switch players from team A to team B. Use asymmetrical reinforcement to make up for the numerical deficiency. (For example: Let Charlie come back in as soon as he reaches his base to simulate large numbers.)

6. Establish medic rules (nuff said).

7. Instead of setting short missions, simply establish each side's victory parameters before the game. At the end of the day, the side which has completed all or a majority of its objectives wins. Then, GO PLAY.

8. Establish your lunch break beforehand. (Example 1300-1400 is lunch break, all game play ceases.)

9. Give out the safety rules on a piece of paper beforehand. Anyone can then read them at basecamp.

PPN: Could you kindly consider some things re: the town? Cut down all the weeds in the buildings. Put some windows in the buildings? Put in dual exits. There are some buildings you can't even get into because the weeds are so high.

Im gonna have to agree with Aaron on the win/lose situation. I cant say i have ever cared whether my team lost or won, at any game for that matter. Only once, in a team tournament held a zerohour way back in the day, did winning mean anything, and it didnt mean anything other than you advanced.

I play airsoft to have fun, if i play im having fun. If i lose, but am playing, guess what, im having fun, if i win, same thing.

Fact is guys we all go home at the end of the day maybe with a few cuts and scrapes, or a sprained ankle, but we all go home! We play combat for fun, some guys dont have a choice for that, and they may not go home. Its a game, its not a sport with champions, and failures. Its a recreational activity.

So ALL of you chill the f*ck out before i start removing these useless arguments.

EASY SOLUTION: American Side, address your problems to DW through private message or email, VC, same thing, or you can send them to me and i will forward them to him. After both sides have established their issues they can be handled behind closed doors and worked out. I for one will not see another argument get started yet again over something that should be handled, but handled quietly, to avoid any further controversy/argument/tension/hatred/etc in the area.
